If you are in a core branch, you can opt for training in SAIL, Tata steel, DVC etc If you want to go to IT-Sector, you can choose your training and internship accordingly. Fortunately, the placement scenario of BIT Sindri is again gaining momentum. In the year 2017, companies like Vedanta, TCS, Yamaha Motors has hired with the salary of 3.5 lacks per annum. The alumni of BIT Sindri are extremely helpful and supportive, excelling in their fields. 

The infrastructure of the college is slowly improving. There are newly renovated hostels, with proper water and electricity facilities. For girls, there are 3 hostels, and some more are being constructed. For boys, there are almost 4 hostels for each batch.

For admission in any government engineering college of the state, you need to appear for the JCECE (Jharkhand Combined Engineering Entrance Examination). You can either be a +2 appearing student or a dropper (for 2 years). Also, if you eligible for reservation, you can get a seat with the category rank of 4000+ in ST, 1500+ OBC etc.

A proper class schedule is followed. In summer the timing is 7 am to 12.30 pm. Quality of teaching is good.

The course fee is INR 15000 per year. There are scholarships available for the students of BIT. Usually, loans are not needed because of the low fee structure plus the scholarships provided, but incase you need, you can easily apply for it.

There are a number of student societies and clubs here that are both socio-cultural or technical. For eg: The Leo club is a socio-cultural club while the Model Club is a technical club. There a number of other such clubs that organize their own events. Also, there are many fests in which various colleges like ISM Dhanbad and NIT Jamshedpur participate. Thus the life in college is vibrant and surely help you in self-growth and personality enhancement.
