There are no campus placements in medical colleges. Students do a one-year compulsory rotatory internship in the attached hospital and earn an average stipend of INR 7 - 10000 per month.
Separate hostels for girls and boys. Annual hostel fees INR 5000. Although work is being done on improving the infrastructure.
You have to clear NEET to get admission in MLNMC. Candidates who have opted for PCB are eligible to sit for the exam. Cutoffs are variable. For instance, this year's cut-off was 560+ marks.
The classes are held from 9 am - 4 pm. Teaching standard is average as expected in a state-run government college with a low ranking. It's a difficult journey but students survive nonetheless.
The annual course fee for a general candidate is around INR 36000 rupees. Numerous scholarships are available for poor and category students.
No societies or clubs are present. There is an annual fest called EUPHORIA which lasts for a week. Life in college is busy as expected although people tend to find entertainment in hostels.
