Gm Rakshitaa's Review on NIT Trichy - National Institute of Technology

I have done a Summer Internship at Indian Institue of Technology- Madras (IITM). I didn't get any stipend. Google, TATA Motors, Bajaj, Honda, ITC, L&T are some of the IT, marketing and core companies that hire us. The average salary is INR 6-12 lakhs per annum. We have 100% placements. I have not heard about my college's Alumni Network.

There are 20+ hostels. The hostel fee is INR 30,000 per semester. I am not sure about PG's. I am not sure about the food and its cost. Quality of Classrooms, Labs, Libraries, dining halls is good and we have Wi-Fi facility.

The eligibility criteria are to pass 12th board examinations. I took JEE MAIN exam. I ranked 40000+ all over India.

Class timings are erratic. We have a flexible curriculum which means that the professor has the whole authority to decide the date of the exams, submission of assignments, cycle tests etc. Teaching is pretty bad in our college. Some professors (Mostly permanent staffs) are really worth our time and effort.

The fee is INR 80000 per annum. I am unaware of the scholarship options. I am not sure about the loans.

There are a variety of technical clubs, management clubs as well as charity clubs in our colleges. Festember (cultural event) and Pragyan (ISO certified Technical event) are the biggest festivals. Apart from that, there are a lot of other events like Sports fest (Inter-department sports competition), department symposiums, NITTFEST (Inter-department cultural fest), E-CELL (management club) hosts a lot of events, HumaNITTy (Charity club) also hosts a variety of events.
