Randheer Gautam's Review on Hindu College, Delhi University

Well in my college the students from economics and BCom gets the highest placement.There’s a placement cell in our college named DISHA which brings companies to our college from placement and most of them are multinational companies like Bane, Intel, Google and many more. The highest package went last time was around 39lakh rupees per Annum and the average package of campus placement is around 8L per annum.

Well, the admissions in my college are based upon on my marks in class 12. As the admissions are done on the bases of class 12 marks so this makes this type of admission process a bit complex. There are always twelve cutoffs released by the college but most of the seats especially for general people get full after 3 cutoffs.For my course, the cutoff ranges from 97-98% marks in PCM in your class 12 for general people and in languages and in other subjects I(if any) the candidate should have scored at least 60%.During the time of admission, the candidate should present the set of original documents in college for verification, and the admission process begins only after the candidate verifies his documents.

I’m studying in Hindu College which comes under the University Of Delhi so the fees taken by the university is for the whole year, unlike many other engineering colleges and universities who take fees in semester bases. For my course, the annual fee ranges from ₹15,000-₹17,000(INR) including examination fee and other expenses so once the fee is paid me the student he’s not required to pay any other amount in future. As I’m a science student, so we get a lot of scholarships both from the university and from central government. Out of all scholarship, the most popular one is INSPIRE which is given by the Central Government to encourage the student in the field of Science and research. This scholarship is given only to those people who score well in class 12 and match the cutoff released by the central government for Scholarship. Once the candidate is eligible for the scholarship he/She has to follow some process and once the process is done the candidate will receive a huge sum of ₹80,000 for a year till his graduation is done. In my batch, almost 80% of the students are getting this scholarship.Now coming to the loans, as we discuss a range of fees in the first few lines which was very less so I think there’s no such loan required to study here but if the candidate is not a day scholar so he has to pay a large amount for his living. The hostel fee ranges from ₹55,000-₹60,000(INR) per year so for this a student May needs a loan to pay such huge sum.
