College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

2.5

There are 3 girls hostel and 3 boys hostel located near to college campus. An amount of INR 1000 is hostel charges per month and INR 1500 is mess fees per month which includes breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. You can easily get a flat or PG near college and charges are INR 3k-4k per month. The campus provides Wi-Fi and is open for everyone. Infrastructure is under construction, there is no proper equipment in the laboratory so students have to purchase Lab instruments.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

I am studying at a government engineering college. As the name sounds engineering, to get admission you have to appear for JEE MAIN entrance examination which is conducted every year by the central board of secondary students for students studying in 12th grade. There is no fixed cut off, each year they select 2 lakhs students out of 12 lakh appearing students. The exam contains multiple choice questions and you can either give the exam online or offline.

Academics and Faculty

There are 2 mid-SEM tests conducted in each semester which include 20%, and 10% marks from assignments and 80% marks from semester final exam. College timings are from 10:30 am- 5:15 pm. Break timings were from 1:30 pm- 2:15 pm and every lecture were of 45 minutes.

The fees per year cost about INR 24,000 which was easily affordable. Scholarships and stationery are provided to reserved categories, and if one has to apply for a loan he or she has to go through all the formalities from Indian overseas bank.

There is Litoffer (literature club), Mech tech meet, Avantikey-cultural house and Banndish-college band and we also have a political party ABVP which supports students. Every year Aayam-annual function is conducted.
