As a second year student I haven't got an opportunity to experience campus placements from JMC. However, as far as I have heard, the alumni seems pretty satisfied with the kind of companies that hire from our campus.
We do not have hostel facilities. Decent PGs are found nearby in Satya niketan, Anand niketan and rk puram, just few mins away from the college. The food on an average costs 30 per dish and is hygenic, tasty and in good portions. The classrooms to are well ventilated and equipped with all the necessary digital equipments. The infrastructure overall including the libraries, auditorium and and the theatre is brilliant.
Jesus and Mary college admits children solely on the basis of Merit like most other Delhi University colleges. Most of the batch for Bcom hons compromises of students who have sought 94% and above in their Higher Secondary examination. However JMC needs a student to fill a separate JMC registration form along with the principal DU registration forms. For ECA and Sports categories the selections are held a week before the tentative dates of first cut off list. For various reserved categories the procedure of seeking admission is simple. It involves the student to match the required cut off for their category and the documents thereby.
The daily routine is strict with a stringent attendance policy, ensuring proper learning . The quality of teaching is excellent where the teachers use various methods and examples to make the students understand the subject and relate to it. The overall experience is wonderful with a beautiful campus to add to the quality of education.
The fees per year is approximately Rs 13,000 per year. Jmc offers over 20 different scholarships to the students, further details are available at the college website
We have music, dance ,theatre ,entrepreneurial and various other societies, summing up to about 15, including nss,nso and ncc. We have Montage as our annual fest, along with various other popular fests like Diwali mela, com'acumen, Zion, ignite etc. College life is exciting and thrilling with a good crowd and excellent hangout places nearby.
