Placements and Internships
- I was already working in a firm so I didn't get to know more about the campus interview. But one company took a test of aptitude and interest test like the field which is suitable and if the person could work in the team. Later I did got a call for the interview in a Sales department. It was a target job with international timings but since I was already working in accounts department I didn't wanted to switch. For a fresh, it was a good opportunity
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- Nowadays, getting an admission in any high profile Smt SK Somaiya Junior College of Education is difficult. The entire admission process was online but we had to submit the hard copy of the admission form filled online to the college office with form fees. The allotment of seats was purely on merit basis.
- Basically, there is 3 cutoff list depending on the number of seats available in the college.
- The cutoff would start approx 80% plus in 1st list and end at 60% plus till the 3rd merit list.
Academics and Faculty
- My daily routine during college time was very hectic. I hardly had time to self-study. My day used to start at 6 am. My 1st lecture started at 7:15 I always found difficult to reach this lecture and there would be around 4 lecture if we were lucky we would get a free lecture otherwise lecturers were present.
- After the 10:20 am lecture, I had an office which would end at 7 pm or sometimes late. Yet after that, I had my Accounts classes to attend from 7:30 to 9:30. Finally, I would reach home at 10 pm. My entire day schedule was fixed so I couldn't enjoy that much in college still in all such busy day I enjoyed the lecturers and the time spent in college Canteen where I tried almost all the variety. I had quite a memorable time at Smt SK Somaiya Junior College of Education.
Fees and Scholarships
- Course fees were affordable for a middle-class person as well as BPL people. The fees were approx 6 to 7 k per year and it's three-year degree course at Smt SK Somaiya Junior College of Education.
- Scholarship options are available for the Minority group under certain criteria as per government norms.
- I don't think loan would be needed for this course.
