Placements and Internships

  • Apart from the Quality Education, Placement at ITNU has always been a factor which lures the prospective students. Placement opportunities are good, placement coordinators work hard to get the best of the companies on to the campus for recruitment.
  • Getting a dream job requires highly competitive aptitude and technical knowledge with extra projects to back your interview.
  • College makes effort to bring the company on campus, getting selected from a number of candidates is purely dependent on one's individual abilities.
  • In spite of low placements all over Gujarat, especially in the field of IT and EC, Placements at Nirma are outstanding.
  • The average package is around Rs. 4.5 lakhs per annum.
  • A large number of students pursue further studies (MBA, MS in the USA, M.Tech.) after finishing bachelor's degree from Nirma.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

  • The eligibility criteria for getting admissions to Bachelors Program at ITNU is your 12th Board Qualification and JEE MAIN. The total number of seats are divided into 3 categories basically.
  • I - 50% of the seats are filled through ACPC for Gujarat Board candidates. The students register to ACPC website, get their State Rank based on 60% in 12th board score and 40% in JEE MAIN and the admission process is divided into a number of rounds. These seats are also subdivided into categories such as Open General, SC, ST, OBS reservations etc.
  • II - 35% of the seats are All India Category which is filled by Nirma by registering on Nirma's admission portal. Here they collect your academic details and generate their own merit based on 60% in Jee MAIN and 40% in 12th board score.
  • III - 15% of the seats are for NRI and Sponsored NRI Quota.
  • Cutoffs may vary year to year due to factors such as the difficulty level of exams and number of students applying. There are offline rounds of the admissions in case there are vacant seats and students will be called for spot admissions in this round. However, it is subjected to vacant seats only.
  • In my case, I had 172 marks in JEE MAIN and in PCM 89.67% in 12th GSHSEB Board.
  • I got admitted through the All India Category into Mechanical Engineering in round 2 of the admissions.
