College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

  • Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology is located at Ichchhanath in the city of Surat at a distance of about 10 km from the Surat Railway Station. It is on the way to a small seaside resort known as DUMAS, from a railway station.
  • The City buses regularly ply from early morning till midnight, between Surat Railway Station and College Campus/Piplod. Any bus heading for Ichchanath or Piplod can be taken to reach the NIT, Surat campus.
  • The campus is very near to entertainment hubs of Surat, it also is a much-favored place for joggers and walkers who come on a regular basis to the campus in morning and evening time.

  • Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology or SVNIT is an engineering institute of higher education established by the Parliament of India in 1961. It is one of 30 National Institutes of Technology in India recognized by the Government of India as an Institute of National Importance.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : the SVNIT is one of the best technical institutes in surat it has minimum cutoff 95% it's really difficult getting admission there.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : I'm pursuing mechanical engineering at SVNIT Surat. In Svnit, mechanical engineering is one of the best branches which has got 230 seats. One can get a seat in my college by clearing JEE mains. Usually, cutoffs vary every year, but the range for my course is up to AIR 11500 for general category.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The criteria for the admission into any NIT or GIFT is to clear the JEE MAIN. The cutoff's for the courses vary from year to year based on the choices filed by the students every year. Whereas the typical cutoff for a general category student to get into computer engineering at SVNIT is to obtain a rank of around 5000.
