Placements and Internships
- Companies like IBM, TCS etc visit the Mangalam College of Engineering for placement. IBM offered Rs. 3,00,000 per year.
- I completed my first internship in Bangalore and another is yet to start.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- There is 2 hostel in Mangalam College of Engineering one for boys and one for girls. Hostel cost around first at Rs. 17500 and later Rs. 3,500.
- In hostel food cost around Rs. 35.
- The course fee of college is Rs. 1,75,000 for MBA and Rs. 20,000 for a year for M-TECH students.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- The eligibility criteria and admission procedure for joining the Mangalam College of Engineering, Kottayam for B-TECH is passing with 65% in board exam and passing the entrance exam.
- I attended medical entrance examination in 2013 and the keam 2012 both are for medical and engineering.
- The typical cutoff for the course was 60%.
Academics and Faculty
- Classes starts from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm, students have 7 periods in Mangalam College of Engineering.
- In 3rd sem, we completed project on OUR HOBBY and in 6th sem, we have done a project on DIGITAL and in the last sem we completed mini project and main project.
- The overall experience of college is nice.
Fees and Scholarships
- Course fee for Mangalam College of Engineering is Rs. 97,500 per year.
- For management quota, there is no scholarship applicable in college. Some of the students got scholarship according to their caste.
Clubs and Associations
- There is electronics association called SMRIHETHU and we have one of the sports club called basketball club in Mangalam College of Engineering.
- Main fest in college like tech fest and other art fests every year.
- Life of the college is similar to school life.
