- The gateway to one of the institutes of national importance is through JEE MAIN entrance examination.
- Up till last year, the eligibility criteria for selection was entrance exam plus board exams based on which selections were done.
- It is considered one of the best institutions in eastern India.
- Most of the courses here are NBA accredited.
- For cutoffs, CSAB website can be checked.
- Typically,for other states cutoffs for general category are around 20000.

The only gateway to National Institute of Technology is JEE Main (Joint Entrance Examination Mains). JEE is considered as one of the most prestigious entrance examnations for premier engineering colleges of India. The cutoff keeps on fluctuating from time to time dependindg on the ongoing competition level of the nation.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Candidate must have passed 12 board exam, only 2 year gap after 12th is allowed Candidate has to qualify the JEE main Exam Typical cutoff is around 113 marks.
