Placements and Internships
- I have got an Intern at Morgan Stanley through Indian Institute of Information Technology,Allahabad.
- A lot of good companies including Arista Networks,Adobe,Morgan Stanley,Walmart Labs,Samsung Labs,LinkedIn etc. visit our campus every year.
- Average package = 120000 LPA
- Highest package = 150000 USD. Percentage of batch placed = > 90%
- Being one of the newer colleges,the alumni network is not so strong.But efforts are being put in to strengthen the same through Alumni meets every year.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- 5 boys' hostels,3 girls' hostels and 3 visitors' hostels ITT, Allahabad. Hostels are very good in terms of infrastructure and facilities. Hostel fee- 4500 per semester in IIT, Allahabad.
- Being in a remote area,there are not much PG/other options available and I don't think anyone will even consider that.
- Mess is average and it costs around 12000 per semester.
- Being a new college,the infrastructure is very good.Labs are equipped with high-end systems having I5 processors;We have spacious and air-conditioned dining halls in each of the hostels.
- Clasrooms are excellent but the library is a little letdown. We have amazing internet connectivity with all the labs and hostels equipped with both LAN and wifi having an overall bandwidth of 1Tbps.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- Eligibility criteria for Indian Institute of Information Technology admission is entirely through JEE Mains examination conducted every year.
- Cutoff for admission to B.Tech IT was around Rs.5500 this year.
Academics and Faculty
- Daily Routine- Classes from 9 to 1, labs from 3 to 6, holiday on Saturday and Sunday and we have relative grading in our college.
- Major exams - Mid-sem and end-sem of 30 and 75 marks respectively and rest 45 marks include assignments and quizzes.
- Quality and method of teaching- Though the academic structure of IIITA is said to be one of the best in the country,the students don't feel so.I think so is the case with every college student in India.Apart from that,we have mixed quality of professors;some are very good and we have to bear some.
- I'll say O=that the overall experience is average in ITT, Allahabad .
Fees and Scholarships
- Course fee for year in IIT, Allahabad = 1,40,000
- Various scholarships are available both from the college and from outside.
- College provides around 25 scholarships worth 72,000 INR to the meritorious students every year.
- Being a institute of National Importance(INI),getting a loan from any bank is as easy as anything.
- I have myself taken a loan from Central Bank of India and had no issues in the process whatsoever.
Clubs and Associations
- There are a lot of cultural and technical societies for the all-round developemnt of students IIT, Allahabad. Cultural- Geneticx Crew(Dance),AMS(Photography),Sarasva(Literary) etc. Technical- Its called GeekHaven and it includes wings for Web Development,App Development,Networking,Graphics etc.
- Fests- Cultural- Effervescence in October, Technical- Aparoksha in February, Sports meet- Asmita

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The entrance exam I took was JEE MAIN.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : One can get admission in Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad through JEE MAIN entrance examination only. The cutoff rank for this year admissions was about 7000 in general. Once, you get a good rank in JEE MAIN, Corganizesises a national counseling procedure for alloting colleges to applicant. If your rank is good enough, apply for counseling with appropiate branch.
