Placements and Internships
- I have done my first intership at intershala.com in zailet.com for 2 months where i am presently working as a content writer which is an unpaid internship which i am doing it for experience only.
- Companies like TCS,wipro,infosys,Ericsson, lavantage and etc.once in the year 2012 Microsoft visited our campus.
- Average salary goes upto Rs 4 lakhs per annum, highest goes upto Rs 6 lakhs per annum, non core Department like cse, ece and IT placement rate is of around 80 percent.
- Our college alumni's are highly notable and spread around all over the world they also donate money for the development of our college often they visit our campus. Many of our alumni are established in top MNC's like Qualcomm, amazon,ibm. we are also having WhatsApp group where all college students and alumnis are there. As all college has nick name ours also having known by 'JOLU' and students of our college are known as 'JOLIET's'.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- There are around 6 hostels. 4 hostels are for btech students for boys, 1 hostel for girls and 1 for mtech student which is underconstruction. our hostel fees for each month is of around Rs 2000 per month. Hostel are quite older but are at good conditions with one common room,led tv,dormitory, badminton court,well conditions bathrooms,24*7 electricity.
- Food in our college are good hygienic also one in a month grand ideal dinner is conducted which consist of quality food. It cost around Rs 130 per person.
- All the facilities are of good condition, library is open from 10:00am to 5:00pm everyday. Lab are well air conditioned.
Academics and Faculty
- Daily routine is scheduled from 10:00 am to 5:00pm with a lunch break from 1:20pm to 2:30pm and on saturday it scheduled as 10:00am to 1:20pm with no class in second half. projects are not given to 1st yr and 2nd year instead of it a bunch of assignment is given for every subjects in every semester. In every semester two internals ar taken of 30 marks of every subject respectively and also a final semester is held of 100marks and practical exam for all subjects is conducted of 100marks.
- As its an state government engineering college so the teaching facilities ar enough good with around 10 to 11 faculties in each and every Department and teachers are of well qualified some of them are having phd degree and one teacher is a google scholar.
- As a second year student of our respected college i would tell that its a good college where most of the alumni are settled at abroad and its an quite old college established in 1961. It consist of 15 clubs which are all government registered.
Fees and Scholarships
- As its a government engineering college so its fees is quite nominal and my course fees are around Rs 20,000 per year.
- Scholarship like tution fee waiver, minority scholarship, based on cbse board marks, west bengal joint entrance ranks are available every year.
- Not having a exact idea but its around 10 students of each Department in every year get scholarships.
- Loans are available and its issued by state bank of india but how its available i am not having clear idea about it.
