Placements and Internships

5

The our faculty at JIMS VK-II is very active for interior Design. Nearly 90-95% of students get placed. I've seen top firms like LIVSPACE, ASIAN PAINTS and HOMELANE etc visit for campus drives. Average packages range from 4-6 LPA, while top talent can bag more. Internships are mandatory after 2nd year, giving us great industry exposure. Even without campus placement, the portfolio we build here makes us highly employable for roles like CAD designer, 3d Designer or site Supervisor.
  • Average Package/Year: ₹5,00,000
  • College Provide Internships: Yes
  • Monthly Stipend: ₹25,000

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

5

The infrastructure is prefect for Interior design students- smart classrooms and high-end computer labs make learning easy. The library and canteen are my favorite spots to brainstorm ideas. For accommodation, the new hostel is comfortable and safe with good food. If you are looking for PG's there are plenty of options near vasant Square Mall or in the Vasant Kunj sectors that are quite cost- effective. the college bus facility is a huge for commuters
  • Hostel Fees/Year: ₹16,000

Entrance Exams and Admissions

5

For Interior Design at JIMS VK_II, you need 50% in boards and a passion for creativity. I applied online for 1070. The selection is based on the JET ( Jagannath Entrance Test ) exam and an interview. The focus here is heavily on your design sense. There are no strict ranks but early application is key as seats fill fast. A very smooth admission process and highly encouraging faculty.
  • Entrance Exam: Jagannath University Entrance Examination [JUEE]
  • Group Discussion/Personal Interview: Yes

Academics and Faculty

5

I'm impressed by the faculty's industry experience. they don't just teach from books but share real- world design challenges. The curriculum is updated with subjects like VASTU, 3DS MAX, IDS and SUSTAINABLE DESIGN, which are very relevant today. the teaching methods includes site visits and market surveys, making learning interactive. Study materials are provided for all core subjects, and the exam schedule is shared well in advance. A disciplined yet creative environment to learn design.
  • Class Size: 60

Fees and Scholarships

5

The BID fee at JIMS VK-II is approx. 1.6l-1.8l year at my time. Its's value for money given the studio facilities. The college offers solid merit scholarships: 505 wavier for 90% IN BOARDS, DOWN TO 10% FOR 75%. Many of my peers avail this. For jobs, the placement cell is active with 1005 assistance. Top firms like LIVSPACE, ASIAN PAINTS, and HOMELANE recruit directly from campus. Education loans are also easily available through tie-ups with major banks.
  • Total Tution Fees: ₹1,50,000

Clubs and Associations

5

Life at JIMS VK-II is a vibrant mix of design studios and cultural buzz. As a design student, the highlight is "Design Santushti" our annual exhibition where we showcase our live projects. Beyond academics, the annual fest "Zest" and celebrity Nite are huge, with performances by artists like karma. I'm part of the Design harvest club, but there also the Rotaract and Cultural societies. While the campus is compact, the energy during Diwali fest and Dandiya nights is amazing.
