Placements and Internships

3.5

  • I have done an online internship but there was no stipend.
  • Mostly IT and marketing companies come to campus and hire students.
  • Average salary figure is around Rs 7 lakhs per year, highest salary figures is Rs 17 lakhs per year, percentage of batch which gets placed : around 75 %

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

4.5

  • There are 6 hostels [3 for UG ,2 for PG and 1 for girls]. Hostel are newly made so all are nice. Hostel fees included in total fee Rs 1,28,000 per annum.
  • I don't have any idea about the PGs outside college but yes, there are people who go to foreign universities for PG after completion of bachelors.
  • Food is good at mess, no matter how other people think about IIT mess food. It costs 150 Rupees(Breakfast, lunch, dinner).
  • All classrooms are newly made so all are nice and labs have all the equipments, Libraries have variety of book, dining halls are best and of course Wi-Fi have best speed (You will not get this much speed in any other university in India).

Academics and Faculty

4

  • First of all, I am very happy to be a student in IIT. My daily routine fluctuates with days of week because some day there is class from 8 am, some day class from 9AM or 10am till 12pm or 1pm. After classes there are labs/practicals also, so that we can get hands-on experience for 3 hours. Overall our daily routine is very busy but somehow I got some time to write this answer.
  • Quality and method of teaching is good. Method of teaching is not that much good because all the professors have a degree of PhD but not B.Ed degree. Overall experience in college is good till now and I hope it will be better in next two years.

Fees and Scholarships

3.5

  • My course fee is Rs 1,28,000 per year.
  • There are 3 or 4 options available for students from the institute.
  • I think out of 140 students in my batch only 25 students are getting scholarship.
  • No, loans are not needed.

Clubs and Associations

5

  • There are several clubs such as Mean Mechanics(Robotics and Electronics) club, Palantir club (writing and social empowerment club), Music club, Dance club, Social media club, Odeccy club and many more. There are also alumni association and Shastrarth Socratic Society.
  • There are many festivals but two of them are major, Blithchron: An intra-college cultural fest, Amalthea: An Intra-college tech fest(summit), Inter-IIT sports meet that organize by different IITs in different years.
  • Life in college is like my second home, all peoples are supportive and helpful.

Academics & Faculty : Academics are fine but can be made much better to achieve an equal standard with top universities at Indian Institute of Technology, [IIT] Gandhinagar. The quality of teaching is good at this college. Overall infrastructure is good at this college.
