Academics and Faculty

3.5

  • Classes in college begin from 10:30 am to 4:50 pm. I am working on a project on Drowsiness Detection for my final year. We have to give 2 assignments and 2 internals for each subject before our semester exams. Most of our faculty have done Ph.D , most of them are working on projects which is financed by WBUT now MAKAUT.
  • The teachers are friendly and the quality and methods of teaching are good. They are interactive but also very particular about punctuality and discipline. Our college not only conducts educational conferences like IEEE or robotics workshop but also events like fest Espektro , usually held on March every year.
  • My experience for almost 4 years of stay in this college has been very educative and inspiring.

Fees and Scholarships

4

  • Course fee for Electronics and Computer Science Engineering students are Rs. 12000 p.a, for Electrical and Mechanical Students per year they have to pay Rs. 6000 and for IT Rs. 24000 p.a. I being an electronics student, I have to pay Rs. 12000 per year.
  • For scholarships, state gives full waiver and half waiver scholarship where tuition fee either does not need to be paid or pay only half depending on family's annual income. Even for West Bengal HS exam after getting a certain percentage students get yearly Rs.10000.
  • About 70 students out of 360 apply for full and half tuition fee waiver scholarship.
  • So loans are hardly needed.
