Placements and Internships

  • Interned in Tata power SED for 3 months with stipened of 18k per month, working as research consultant in Aagna- a startup with stipened upto 5500 on avg, Interned in Redmed Health Systems  and EasyM2M startups for 2012 summer and 2014 summer respectively with no stipened.
  •  Amazon, Flipkart - Data science and software engineering, Cisco - Networking, Intel, NI - embedded systems and software development
  • 2015-2016 average packages is Rs 10-12 lakhs per annum with highest salary paid at Rs 27 lakhs per annum. Almost 100 % placement every year.
  •  Alumni network is hug and very healthy in our university. Some of the startups present in the incubation centr of our university are from alumni.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

  • 1 boys hostel and 2 women hostel, Rs. 3000 per month
  • PG's are costly outside the campus with an average of about Rs4000 -7500 per room
  • Food is good in the college. Mess Fee is about Rs.50 per meal at one time a day
  • Have very good classrooms, labs and libraries with good infrastructure like air conditioners, projectors, lab equipments, huge funded library.

Academics and Faculty

  • Class Timings are very much flexible atmost 2-3 classes per day. Regarding the projects, we have practical part for every course meaning, a group project for each course in the semester. Assignments and exams are present but not regular.
  • University has highly qualified professors and the method of teaching is also very much pleasing.
  • Overall experience in the college is very good. I am learning a great deal in the college from last 3 years.

Fees and Scholarships

  • Fees is Rs 180,000 semester fee + Rs. 24000 mess fee+ Rs. 18000 room rent = Rs. 2,32,000 per year
  • Finanacial based scholarships (very less may be one or two per batch) + merit based scholarships ( top 5 cgpa students every year)
  • 6-7 in a class of 50 ( 2 financial atmost + 5 merit)
  • Yes loans are needed for paying such huge fee amounts. The college has been maintaining 100% placement every year with an average pay of Rs 7-8 lakhs every year. In this way, loans are generally availed by the students.

Clubs and Associations

  • Student clubs are present but some of them are still naive. I am sure they gonna rise up high in coming years.
  • Sports Fest is the major festival in campus. Celebrated for three days.
  • College is very good in terms of academics. In terms of sports, it is self sufficient, trying to use the maximum campus area avaliable.

Academics & Faculty : On a busy day we have classes from 9:15 am to 5:15 pm with some breaks in between. The faculty make the students to think more about the subjects by giving challenging assignments etc. The overall experience in the college is good.

(Research) and PhD programs in the field of Information Technology. IIIT-Bangalore is promoted by the government of Karnataka and the IT industry. IIIT-B is managed by a Governing body with S Gopalakrishnan, executive co-chairman, Infosys Ltd., as the chairperson.
