Rabg1752's Review on Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, University of Delhi

I haven't done any internship. Many high-profile companies visit our college. Recently, Bain and Company hired many students of my batch. Other than this, Snapdeal also visited along with many other marketing companies. Average salary is Rs. 9-10 lakh per annum. Alumni network of our college is quite active.

There is one hostel for girls and one for boys. Hostels are really neat and clean and fees is Rs. 15000 per month. There are many options outside my college for pg , rooms , flats, etc., costing around Rs. 12000 per month. There is a canteen in college and it costs around Rs. 110 per meal. Classrooms are airy, every lab is there in the colleg; wi-fi facility is available; library is open for all. Playground is very big and sports complex is also there.

Students were selected on the basis of their percentage in 12th standard. Best of four subject marks were to be taken to get the aggregate percentage. My course's percentage to get admission was 93.5%. But later on, many lists were out in which percentage required decreased. There was no need for any entrance. The first cut-off was 93.50% , second 92% and so on.

Classes begin at 8.30 am in the morning and go on till 2.45pm. Exams are held after 5 months of the beginning of our semester. Assignments are given by the teachers in between the semester. The method of teaching is quite good and the quality of teaching is marvellous. Overall experience of my college is quite good.

My course fees is Rs. 20000 per year. Many scholarships are offered by our college. I also got student scholarship from my college. No loans are needed.

Many societies are there like civil services, dance, folk dance society, singing , sports, photography, kirtan, martial arts, debate society etc. Cultural and sports festivals are much prominent in our college. Life in the college is quite awesome. It's a new learning experience for me.
