A company has a higher budget for a tier1 college and pick up 2-3 students in that budget, where as in tier 2 colleges, the same companies come with the same budget but recruit more students.
No hostels available. You do have a lot of living options in and around IBS mumbai since IIT powai and other colleges are right around.
The college helps in finding accomodation. Great food and a great canteen with all sorts of food available. Great Classrooms, labs, libraries, dining halls, Wi-Fi and other key infrastructure.
Wrote the IBSAT exam, but you can also get through by CAT, NMAT scores. Post the exam, you get a mail from IBS and you're required to go to Hyderabad IBS for the main interview process. Based on your interview, you're given a score out of 100. Depending on the score you get the branch of IBS. For IBS hyderabad you'll need more than 94% in the interview process.
College was from 8 am to 4 pm depending on year, sem and specialisations. Quality of teaching is good. Most of the private colleges in mumbai have visiting faculties who teach at more or less all the top colleges in mumbai so in that way, the educaiton isn't compromised.
Total fees is INR 8.6 lakhs approx. Not sure of the scholarships and loans but you get student loans at the usual market interest rates.
College have around 12 clubs varying from all departments and specialisations. Have all thre management, tech, cultural etc. events and fests.
