Placements and Internships

3

  • Most of them get placed into lots of good companies. But very few from the mechanical and civil department get placed.
  • Key companies like TCS, IBM, HP, Bosch, Capgemini, Deloitte and many other core companies come to hire students.
  • Average package is 3,00,000 INR per year and the highest package till date has been 8,00,000 INR per year.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

4

  • There are separate hostels for girls and boys. There are 2 hostels for each. The rooms are cleaned once every day. There is usually a scarcity of water in the NRI hostel and in the old hostel there is a scarcity of hot water.
  • The hostel food is quite normal. Not something to brag about. Edible but sometimes not even that. You might find rats here and there ,so best of luck about that.
  • They lack a doctor or a physician in the hostel which I definitely think is a major drawback.
  • The curfew time for boys and girls is 7pm.
  • The classrooms are cleaned once in 3 days I think because I see hair lying in the corners for at least 3 days. The library is fine. It has  a collection of engineering and architecture textbooks. But I think for the improvement of one's communication skills and vocabulary they need to update it with literature books of different languages.
  • The canteen is a place where one can hang out happily. There is a coffee day express and is an all-time student favourite.
  • The WiFi needs registrations and formalities. THE INFORMATION ABOUT THIS IS NEVER GIVEN BY THE COLLEGE. It is only the seniors who tell us about it. Once you get it done, the WIFI speed is good enough for browsing and watching videos.

Academics and Faculty

2

  • All the department heads are really good with their subjects.
  • The mechanical department has well-qualified teachers.
  • The dean and electrical teacher are the best I have known so far.
  • But there are lots of teachers whose knowledge of the subject is great but they lack communication skills.
  • All teachers are ready to help us outside the class.

Fees and Scholarships

3

  • The fee is 25,000 INR per year if one is has come to the college through entrance exams. If it is through management quota, for a general person, the fees is 1,50,000 INR per year.
  • There are scholarships for a merit student, the best sports person, for the categories and they accept scholarships from other sources outside the college.
  • The college does collect money for little things. For attendance shortage, people are asked to pay a certain amount if they need to get their hall tickets.

Clubs and Associations

3

  • There are lots of student clubs. There is a music club, a dance club, a theatre club, an art club, a fashion team, a tech club, a literary club, a college band, photography club, a Kannada club and a fitness club.
  • Most of the clubs are peaceful but there is a lot of student politics. So students hold back from joining any club.
  • Cultura is the most awaited fest. There are attempts of organising a college version of comic con called comic clave. The college also organised a tech fest.
  • The college rarely funds for the club events.
  • College life is not all that bad. Life there gets better if one joins the clubs and associates with seniors and juniors.
  • There was some ragging a few years ago but now there is NO RAGGING.
  • The dress code is pretty decent. Interactions between girls and boys are NOT CONSIDERED AS A TABOO.
