Many top companies had visited this year (2021). Even at the time of covid, companies like De Shaw, JP Morgan, ION, Texas instruments, Salesforce, Adobe, Providence, Optum have visited, and they all offered above INR 50k as a stipend per month.

I am an internship coordinator, and from my experience, the placements and internships in Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, [TIET] Patiala, are good here. Avg CSE placements were INR 13-15 LPA in 2020 and 2019. And the highest package goes around INR 41-45 LPA every year.

Almost all students got placed this year. Many mass recruiter companies such as Delloite, Infosys, HCL had visited and offered great packages.

Admission to Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, [TIET] Patiala, is through JEE Mains and 12th boards marks. Eligibility to take admission in the college is that the candidate should get a minimum of 60% in PCM 12th standard and have a good percentile in JEE Mains.

There are many computer's branches in Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, [TIET] Patiala. Approx 1.8K seats are available for computer science branches. COE, ENC, EEC, COSE, CSE, CSBS (these all are branches of computers provided by the college).

Truly speaking, there is tough competition to get a seat in computer-related branches. I am studying computer science, and I took JEE Main exam. My admission was based on JEE Main marks and marks scored on 12th boards. Currently, I am in 3rd year and preparing for internships.

There is a 50% reservation for Punjab residents, so you can get other branches very easily. But getting into computer science is tough.

Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, [TIET] Patiala Fee Structure. The fee for my course is INR 20,00,000 to 21,00,000 in total. Mess and hostel fees for 6 months is INR 70,000 approx.

The scholarship is given to students according to their performance. The college gives scholarships to the top 10% of students from each branch based on their JEE Mains and 12th score. To continue with a scholarship for the rest of the semesters, one has to score a high CGPA without any backlog.

Thapar has two banks inside the campus, one is SBI, and another is ICICI, which provide student and study loans.
