SOF NSO Result 2024 - Check SOF NSO Olympiad Level 1 and Level 2 Results

The SOF NSO level 1 results for the academic year 2023-24 were declared in January 2023, and the results will be available on this website. Students who have participated in the NSO exams should keep themselves updated to get relevant NSO results and awards details. Students can get the direct results links for the SOF NSO exam.

SOF NSO Results - Important Dates

The NSO result 2023 will be available on the official website of SOF and also on this page.

The important dates for the National Science Olympiad are listed in the table below.

How to Check NSO Results 2024?

Students can get their NSO results on the official website of SOF. If any student finds it difficult to get the results from the website, they can also contact their school coordinator. SOF also sends a copy of the results to the registered schools.

Here are the steps to download the SOF NSO level 1 and level 2 results from the official website.

• Go to the official website of SOF.
• Click on the SOF NSO and select level 1/level 2 results.
• Select NSO level 1/level 2 results in dropbox and enter the registration number.
• Enter the captcha code and click on submit.
• The SOF NSO results will be displayed on the screen.
• Take the print of SOF NSO results for future reference.

Note: Students won't receive the NSO 2023 results by post. But, SOF will send the NSO school-wise result to all the registered schools via e-mail.

NSO Student Performance Report

Along with the results, a Student Performance Report (SPR) will be sent to every student who appears for any SOF Olympiad. The SPR gives a detailed analysis of the student's performance in the level 1 and level 2 exams. The comparison will be available individually for national, zonal, and school levels. It is to make students realize their strengths, weaknesses, and areas of improvement compared to the students who appeared.

The SPR report comprises six sections, 

• Section A: The section provides national, zonal, city, and school-level scores and ranks.
• Section B: Section B provides a section-wise performance report.
• Section C: Section C includes the number of correct and wrong answers given by the student and compares those answers with other students at the Zonal and International levels.
• Section D: In the fourth section, SPR provides the percentage score analysis at the national, zonal, city, and class level.
• Section E: Section E provides the comparison and analysis of average marks at different levels.
• Section F: Final section compares the student’s performance in the past eight years of Olympiad exams.

NSO Ranking Criteria for Level 1

After the announcement of SOF NSO Olympiad results in 2023, the ranks for level 1 SOF NSO will be allotted using the following criteria.

• Marks were obtained in the exam.
• In case more than two students score the same number of marks, then ranks will be determined based on marks scored in sections accorded more priority.
• When students scored tie marks in the previous class may be considered while determining rank.
• When more than one student scores the same marks under both the situations mentioned above, they will be awarded the same rank.
• In case of any doubt, the decision made by the academic council will be final and binding.

NSO Level 2 Results

NSO Level 2 results will be announced within three weeks after the main exam. For 2023, NSO results are expected in February 2024. Students who qualify for the level 1 exam are eligible to apply for the NSO level 2 exam. The basic eligibility criteria are 50% or above marks in the stage 1 exam.

Qualification Criteria for NSO Level 2

Here are the qualification criteria for the NSO level 2 exam.

• The top 25 zone-wise rank holders are qualified for level 2
• The class toppers from each participating school (minimum participants should be 10) are qualified for the NSO level 2 exam. 

NSO Ranking Criteria for Level 2

In the case of the level 2 exam, after the SOF NSO results in 2023, the rank allotment will be done based on the following criteria.

• Total marks scored in the level 2 exam.
• In a situation where two or more students' marks scored are the same, then the determination of rank will be done on the following basis:
• Marks obtained in SOF NSO results in 2023, the section of the level two exam will get a higher priority.
• The total marks obtained by the student at the level 1 exam.
• The total marks obtained in the section of the level 1 exam will get a higher priority.
• In the situation of two or more students getting the same marks in SOF NSO 2023 results, under all the categories mentioned above, they will be awarded the same rank.

NSO Answer Key 2023

Science Olympiad Foundation will release the NSO answer key within two weeks after the main exam (for both levels) on its official website. Students can calculate the expected scores using the NSO answer key and marking scheme. 

SOF NSO Cutoff

The previous year's cutoff marks for the National Science Olympiad conducted by Science Olympiad Foundation are given below.
