UPTET Qualifying Marks 2023 will be officially published along with the notification by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB). The qualifying marks varies based on the candidate's category. The qualifying marks for UPTET 2023 for General candidates is 90 marks out of 150 marks or 60 percent.

For SC/ST/OBC/PwD or Ex-Servicemen category candidates the qualifying marks for UTET 2023 is 82 out of 150 or 55 percent. The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2023 will be conducted by the UP Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) on behalf of the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB).

The UPTET qualifying marks vary depending on the category of the candidate. The table below lists the minimum marks and percentages for UPTET 2023: 

UPTET Cut Off 2023

The cut off marks will be the same for the entrance test's primary and upper primary levels. The cut off is based on the difficulty of the exam, the number of candidates that appeared for the exam and the candidate's category.

The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) has set the general category cut-off to 60%, and OBC/SC/ST categories must score at least 55% to pass the exam. Candidates that qualify for the exam will be given UPTET eligibility certificate, which will be valid for the candidate's lifetime.

Candidates can check out the UPTET 2023 selection process given below:

• The selection process varies from post to post.
• Usually, the candidates that clear the UPTET paper 1 exam teach 1-5 classes.
• Paper 2 is given by candidates that teach classes 6-8.
• Candidates that clear the exam are given the eligibility certificate by UPBEB.
• Candidates will get a lifetime Validity certificate for clearing UPTET 2023.
• The candidates who qualified in the written exam will be called for further process document verification.
