  • About UPTET 2019: The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) is conducted for the appointment of Primary and Post-Primary level teacher posts for the schools of Uttar Pradesh.

  • Payscale: The pay scale for a Primary school teacher is INR 2,37,768/- p.a and for a Secondary school teacher, pay scale is INR 3,01,462/- p.a

  • Nationality:

    • Eligible Indian aspirants can apply.

    • Candidates belonging to Bhutan/Tebit/Nepal are also eligible to apply for the Uttar Pradesh TET 2019 exam.

  • Age limit: Candidates belonging to the following age group can apply.

  • Educational Qualification: UPTET eligibility is different for primary and post-primary aspirants. Aspiring candidates should meet the following eligibility criteria given below.

UPTET 2019 Primary teacher eligibility:

  • They should have secured 50% marks in 12th standard and 4 years diploma in B.EL.ED.

  • Applicant should be a graduate with 2 years of B.T.C training or,

  • Candidate should graduate/post graduate degree from NCTE/RCI recognised University with 2 years D.ED Diploma or,

  • Candidate should be graduate with 2 Years BTC training in Hindi or Urdu.

UPTET 2019 Post-Primary teachers eligibility:

  • Applicant should be a graduate or post-graduate from the recognized institute NCTE with 50% of marks.

  • Applicant should be a graduate with 2 years in BTC training.

  • Applicant should secure 50% marks from the recognized university or institute and also should have 2 years of B.Ed diploma or 

  • Applicant should have 50% marks in 12th and 4 years of diploma in B.EL.ED. or B.S.C.D.

UPTET 2019 Application Process

  • Availability: UPTET 2019 application form will be available from 13th June 2019 

  • Mode: Application form for UPTET Exam will be available only in the online mode.

Steps for Registration:

  • Visit the official website

  • Click on the link "Apply for UPTET Exam 2019" to begin the UPTEP online Registration process. 

  • Candidates should provide valid email id and mobile number. 

  • Next, candidates should fill all the personal details like name, gender, age, date of birth, caste, religion etc.

  • Candidates are then required to upload a recent scanned passport size photo along with a signature. Resolution and format of the photo will be given in the form.

  • Candidates should pay application fee of about INR 400(General and OBC) and INR 200 for reserved categories.

  • A confirmation page will be generated after completing all the above steps.

  • Candidates must take the print out of the application form for future communications.

Note: Candidates can apply for both the primary and post-primary positions by filling two separate application forms.

UPTET 2019 Application Form

  • Criteria: Candidates satisfying the eligibility criteria can apply for the exams.

  • Registration: Candidates need to register themselves on the official website before applying for the exam.

  • Mode: The candidates should visit the official website for filling the online application form. The aspirants can fill the form from 26th August 2019  to 13th September 2019.

  • Details: All details regarding name, address, education etc. should be entered in the application form.

  • Application Fee: The application form fee for General and OBC candidates is INR 400 and for SC/ST category it is INR 200. 

  • Attach Documents: Candidates are required to attach a recent passport size photograph and a scanned signature.

  • The candidates should not send the hard copy of documents to the conducting board.

UPTET 2019 Exam Pattern

  • Mode: UPTET 2019 Exam is conducted in the offline mode.

  • Questions Type: Objective type multiple choice questions will be asked.

  • Duration: Duration of the exam is two and a half hours.

  • Number of Questions: 150 

  • Total Marks: 150

  • Total Number of papers: There will be two separate papers for Primary and Post-Primary positions.

  • Question Paper Language: Question paper will be in both English and Hindi language.

  • Marking Scheme: One mark will be awarded for every correct answer and there is no negative marking. Tables below show the marks distribution for paper I and paper II.

UPTET 2019 Admit Card

  • Admit card: The Admit card is expected to be released on 5th October 2019.

  • Details on Admit Card: Details like date of the exam, centre, timings of the exam, will be printed on the card.

  • Download Details: The candidates can download by providing their respective roll number, birth date and security pin they receive of UPTET 2019.

  • Mandatory: It is mandatory to carry the admit card to the exam centre without which the entry will be denied.

  • ID Proof: Candidates should carry ID Proofs like Aadaar card, voter card etc along with the admit card to the exam centre for verification with a photo.

Procedure to download UPTET 2019 Admit Card :

  • Visit the official website www.upbasiceduboard.gov.in

  • Click on UPTET Admit Card 2019

  • Enter Registration Number and Date of birth as login details.

  • Download and save your Admit Card.

  • Verify all the details mentioned on the admit card.

  • Any discrepancies in the admit card should be notified to the concerned authority.

  • Obtain admit card in hard copy for future reference.

UPTET 2019 Results

  • Availability: The UPTET exam results will be announced on 5th April 2020.

  • Mode: Candidates can download their results from the official website.

  • Access Result: Candidates appeared for the UPTET 2019 can check their results by providing their respective roll number and Date of Birth.

UPTET 2019 Syllabus

UPTET Exam Syllabus consists of 2 papers, as given below:

  • Paper I: The paper I focuses on topics that are relevant for teaching Standards 1st to 5th. Candidates can refer to NCERT Books of 1st to 5th standards for the better understanding of the scope of UPTE. Paper I covers Teaching Methodology & Pedagogy, Languages (Hindi & English/Urdu/Sanskrit), Mathematics and Environmental Studies.

  • Paper II: Paper II focuses on topics like Child Development, Learning & Pedagogy, Languages (Hindi & English/Urdu/Sanskrit), Mathematics & Science or Social Studies & Social Science. NCERT Books of 6th to 8th standards can be referred to the better understanding of the scope of UPTE 2019. Candidates have the option to choose between the sections of Mathematics & Science or Social Studies & Social Sciences.

UPTET exam is conducted to fill the vacant positions for primary and upper primary teaching posts. UPTET Eligibility requires the following educational qualification for these posts:

The UPTET 2018 eligibility for primary teachers are given below:

  • Candidate should be a graduate with 2 years of B.T.C training or,

  • Candidate should graduate/post graduate degree from NCTE/RCI recognised University with 2 years D.ED Diploma or,

  • Candidate should be graduate with 2 Years BTC training in Hindi or,

  • Candidate should graduate/post graduate degree with 50% of marks from NCTE recognized institute.

  • Candidate should be graduate with 50% marks from recognized university. 

  • They should have secured 50% marks in 12th standard and 4 years diploma in B.EL.ED.

  • They should have secured 50% marks in 12th standard and 4 years diploma in B.S.C.D or

  • They should have 45% in graduation (SC/ST/OBC/PH/Ex-serviceman)
