Staff Selection Commission Multi-Tasking Staff, abbreviated as SSC MTS is a national-level public examination that facilitates the recruitment of candidates for various non-technical posts. The nature of the job is multitasking and challenging. MTS exam is an online recruitment exam and all the MTS posts are available on the central government's official websites and in all of its departments across the country.

SSC MTS 2024 Exam Pattern
It is very important for a candidate to know about the exam pattern of SSC MTS before attempting the exam. SSC MTS exam will be conducted in both online and offline mode. SSC MTS exam will consist of two papers and a total of 2 hours will be allotted for the exam. 1 hour 30 minutes for Paper I and 30 minutes for Paper-II.
Marking Scheme: For every correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded and for each wrong answer 0.25 marks will be deducted.

SSC MTS 2024 Vacancy
On Nov 1, 2023, the Commission issued a Corrigendum. The Staff Selection Commission revised the number of candidates to be selected for the SSC MTS Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Physical Standard Test (PST) for the SSC MTS Havaldar Posts in the corrigendum. In the first iteration, the Commission advertised 360 SSC MTS Havaldar positions. According to the corrigendum, the Commission will select 1830 candidates for PET/PST.
Individuals will be shortlisted in a ratio of 1:10 in this selection process, which implies that for every vacancy, ten individuals will be shortlisted. These applicants who have been shortlisted will subsequently be required to take the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and the Physical Standard Test (PST).

SSC MTS 2024 Recruitment
There is no interview section in the process of SSC MTS recruitment. SSC will recruit candidates based on the written exams only. SSC MTS selection process is as follows.
- Step 1: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct SSC MTS Paper I exam online.
- Step 2: Shortlisted candidates after Paper I examination will have to appear for Paper II exams conducted offline.
- Step 3: Candidates who score SSC MTS cut off will be qualified for the next step.
- Step 4: A document verification process will be conducted for candidates after they successfully qualify for the written exam.
- Step 5: Candidates will be recruited in the post for which they applied.
Note: The cut-offs may vary in both papers as per the vacancies in each State/UT. Candidates for each State/UT will be finally shortlisted on the bases of their exam performance in papers I and II.
