Library: The central library offers various references and textbooks of national and international authors, international and national journals. They are available in basic sciences, engineering and technology, law, fashion technology, humanities and social sciences. VIT Chennai library has a digital library with a video conferencing facility. It uses Koha software for library automation and has implemented RFID technology with a self-issue and return kiosk, WEB-OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue), and an online renewal facility.

Sports: VIT Chennai offers a well-planned infrastructure for sports for students and faculty. The sports have a separate block offering the latest amenities and well-equipped courts for students.

IT Infrastructure: The college has a Centre for Technical Support (CTS) that maintains the policies governing VIT computing and IT communication resources. 

Health Centre: The VIT Chennai campus facilities include medical facilities, such as observation beds, a consultation room, doctor and staff nurses, and two ambulances.

Canteen: VIT Chennai has three multi-cuisine canteens at strategic locations in the college. All the three canteens are on a contract basis with external caterers and offer food at student-friendly prices. It hosts a wide array of cuisines and dishes and caters to the needs of the students from every corner of the country, providing them with home-style food.

Classrooms: The Vellore Institute of Technology Chennai campus has smart classrooms. The classrooms contain a whiteboard and a projector for teaching. The hi-tech equipment enables the faculty to conduct classes to enable students to make use of every available resource at the click of a button.
