Digital Library

VDRIT Institute and Library & Information Center is established in the year 2004. Library is temple of knowledge, which blesses its users with the required information and helps them in enriching their knowledge.  VDRIT Library has its own mission to fulfilling all sorts of information needs of the student, faculty and staff of VDRIT.

Library

As Swami Vivekananda said the Library is temple of knowledge it is store house of information, where the user can get desired information. VDRIT Library & Information Center is located in spacious building with area of 1423sqm. At present, libr2the library has more then 3706 titles & 25300 volumes of books-reference books, reports and bound volumes.
The Library subscribes 52 National and 37 International journals and periodicals. The institute has the membership of “DELNET”.
The Library follows an open access system. Books are classified and catalogued according to the Dewey Decimal Classification and are arranged accordingly.

ATM

Corporation Bank ATM

• Corporation Bank provides facility to open accounts for staff and students.
• The Corporation Bank ATM is located beside the college campus.
• 24 hours service is provided.
• e-banking facility is provided for students.

Central Computing Facilities 

Institute has state of the art Central Computing Center.

• The Center extends all support for computing services.Hardware & Software high end with required licensed software and allied equipments make it a resourceful node of service  (400 Machines on LAN and 30 on WIFI).
• Entire Campus is WIFI enabled.
• 800 users Cyberoam Firewall worth Rs. 6 lakh is installed to provide secured internet facility to staff and students.
• 8Am to 8Pm Internent facility enabled by 22Mbps leased line.
• Microsoft Academic alliance for the entire campus.

Gymkhana

VDRIT has been keen in providing sufficient time and facilities for sports and gymnasium. The facilities for indoor games like table-tennis, carom and chess are available here. Volleyball, basketball, badminton courts as well as cricket, kho-kho and kabaddi grounds.

In this academic year our college students had participated in different indoor and outdoor games. I congratulate our Volley Ball team for securing Second Place in VTU inter collegiate Volley Ball tournament held at Bijapur on 24th -26th of March 2008. We also participated in Table Tennis held at GIT, Belgaum, Inter Collegiate Cricket held at SDMCET, Dharwad and in Badminton Tournament held at BVBCET, Hubli.

Hostel

One of the major concerns of parents about their wards is the facilities of stay and food. VDRIT promises parental care to boys and girl students residing in the hostel.

• The boys hostel accommodates 330 students and girls hostel accommodates 275 students. Mess ensures quality food and water purifier is installed for drinking water. Hot water through solar system is provided at every floor. Uninterrupted power supply is provided with the help of generators.
• Dispensary in the campus takes care of preliminary medical treatment.

Mess / Fast food

VDRIT campus houses a hygienically maintained canteen in picturesque surroundings serving food to students through the day apart from catering at cultural and other congregations in the campus.
