It is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. Vemana IT is located in the heart of Bangalore city and has a well laid out campus and infrastructure with excellent facilities to pursue research and P.G. courses. The Institution is located in Koramangala, Bangalore, the silicon valley of India. Being located in the heart of city, it is well connected by good transport network. It is only 8 km each from city Railway station and cantonment Railway stations and 6 km away from Bangalore Airport.
In a span of thirteen years, VIT has grown by leaps and bounds and has established all the infrastructure and facilities required as per the norms of affiliated University (VTU) and AICTE. The class apart infrastructure that has big and spacious class rooms and laboratories fully equipped with all the modern equipments and technology. The Institute has good interaction with IT Companies (both hardware and software). VIT invite the professionals from these companies for visits, guest lectures and seminars to provide the student a better exposure to the real world.
VIT has an excellent placement cell. The cell is responsible for generating and getting the students aware of information pertaining to the demands and the recruitments going on. Number of companies like Wipro, Tata Infotech and TYCO visited VIT recently and have recruited more than 50% of the final year student.

Good placement and company visit record: Training & Placement cell of VIT takes care of recruitment needs of the students. All eligible students can attain the campus interviews and more than 50% of the students are place in top-notch companies. In the academic year of 2011-12, 250 students were placed among total 270. Some of the frequent companies that visit the institution include Infosys, Subex, HCL, Span Infotech, Wipro-BPO, Mcube Investment Software Pvt Ltd, IBM, Toyota Software, Syntel, Indian Air Force, Indian Navy, Microland, EFI etc.
Sports and Health care unit: National Service Scheme (NSS) is available for interested students. Outdoor games like basketball, volleyball, throw ball can be played in the spacious playground while separate court is available for indoor games like table tennis, shuttle, carom and chess. Health center is located in the campus and it is made available for students round the clock.
Accommodation for boys and girls: Separate hostels are available for gents and ladies. When the girls’ hostel is available in college premises, the gents’ hostel is located outside the college in prime location of the city. The general timings of the hostel are 6am to 8pm with securities available both day and night time.
Centrally located college: The institution is centrally situated which is just 8kms away from city railway station and 6kms away from the Bangalore Airport. Frequent city buses are also available to and from the college location.
The college fee is INR 17000/- per year with the government fees about 35000/- so total around 52000/- per year which has to be paid at the beginning of every year. The scholarship is available for sc/sc and a category students. And also scholarships for those who score FCD(above 70)in both the sems in the respective year. The average number of the students getting scholarship would depend on the students eligible for scholarships. There is ICICI and Karnataka bank nearby college which is helpful for paying fees and etc..
Scholarship options are available but it is limited to some extent. I don't know about the scholarship percentage.
The costs aren't too high CET has about 50-60k per year, management costs around 1-2lakhs p.a. The scholarship is giving to the branch toppers.
The course fee is 50K(INR) per year Scholarship. OBC category, military ( if parents is\were working in the military). The average number of students who got the scholarship is 7.0-8.0 per branch.
INR 56000 is the course fee. Government scholarships are available, Not sure about scholarship offered by the college. Loans can be availed.

The eligibility criteria and fee structure for B.E. in Vemana Institute of Technology, [VIT] Bangalore is as follows :
Admission Eligibility
Admission to first year B.E. course is made for candidates through CET/COMED-K and Management Quota as per norms specified by Government of Karnataka and VTU from time to time.
Admission to First Year
Admission to first year shall be open for the candidates who have passed the Second year Pre-University Examination conducted by the Karnataka State Pre-University Board with Science Subjects.
OR
10 + 2 of the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary education) / ICSE (Indian certificate of Secondary education).
OR
Any other equivalent examination recognized by the University.
AND
The candidate shall have secured not less than 45% of marks in the aggregate with Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects:- Chemistry, Bio-technology, Computer Science, Biology & Electronics. Provided that, the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility shall be 40% in optional subjects in case of candidate belongs to SC/ST and OBC. Provided that, the candidate shall have studied and passed English as one of the subject.
Admission to Second Year (Lateral Entry)
The admission shall be opened for the candidates who are holders of a Diploma or equivalent examination, as recognized by University and has secured not less than 50% marks, in the final year examination (Fifth and Sixth Semesters) in respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST & OBC and in respect of others the candidate has secured not less than 45% Marks in the appropriate branch of engineering specified by government from time to time. Such a candidate shall clear prescribed bridge courses as specified by the University.
The fee structure is as follows :
Per year fees : Rs.1,10,000/-
However, this is tentative and is subject to change as per the college rules.
