VMOU (Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University), based in Kota, was established in 1987. Previously, the university was known as Kota Open University. The UGC has recognised the college as an outstanding open-learning institution in Rajasthan. VMOU Kota belongs to the Association of Indian Universities as well (AIU). The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, certificate, and preparatory programmes in science, management, computer science, humanities, language, literature, commerce, education, and others. VMOU headquarter is located at Kota and its operational jurisdiction extend to the whole of Rajasthan. In order to encourage online education in Rajasthan, VMOU Kota has established Regional Centers and Study Centers as institutional devices. VMOU Admission

VMOU admissions 2024 are carried out in two cycles: January (November-February) and July (May-August). VMOU admission to all its programs (besides B.Ed and MBA) is particularly primarily based on aggregate received by a candidate in a preceding qualifying degree/ exam. The University additionally gives lateral entry admission for the second and third semesters to a number of its UG programs. A relaxation of 5% in aggregate is permitted for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates.

• Master of Arts(MA) is a two-year PG course with specializations in Police Administration, Sociology, Rajasthani, Economics, Psychology, Political Science, Geography, English, History, Hindi, Sanskrit, Education, Public Administration, Mathematics.
• The candidate should have a graduation degree from a recognized university in the relevant subjects.

M.Sc Eligibility Criteria

VMOU Cutoff

The merit list 2022 for Vardhman Mahaveer Open University's several PG programmes, including B.Ed, MBA, MCA, and MSc, has been announced. Admission to various programmes at VMOU Kota is granted on the basis of merit lists, followed by university-led counselling. VMOU Result

Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University 2022 results are declared for the BLIS and DLIS courses at the official website. Students can check their VMOU results by entering their scholar number or name on the result portal.  The VMOU exams are conducted at the end of each semester, usually in June and December. Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University distributes the grade cards to the students soon after the results are declared. Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University (VMOU), Kota, also conducts re-appear examinations and revaluation processes for students with unsatisfactory results. Students can use the VMOU Kota online portal to access their admit cards, timetables, assessment reports, results and examination notifications. VMOU has a well-equipped library with more than 87700 books that encompass 8404 reference books, 2050 bound volume journals, 452 audio-visual cassettes, 115 CDs of books, 381 and 25 CD’s & DVDs of journals, 275 thesis & dissertations. There are numerous study centers set up by the university. VMOU Scholarships

Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University gives scholarships to deserving students. The scholarships are provided based on a few criteria which the scholars ought to satisfy in order to get the desired scholarship. The NHFDC provides scholarship to VMOU Kota for differently-abled students.
