UBS PG Admission- Eligibility, Fees and Admission Criteria

Admission to the proposed course requires minimum marks in graduation or equivalent. Admission to various PG courses requires minimum marks in the qualifying examination of The university as well. The course fee for the MBA program is INR 50,000 per annum and for M.com is INR 43,995 per annum. Details regarding admission criteria, eligibility, etc, are as follows:

  • 5% Concession is admissible in eligibility requirement to SC/ST/BC/PwD candidates
  • Provided that in case of candidates having Bachelors degree of the University through Modern Indian Languages [Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi(Gurumukhi Script)] and/or in a Classical Language (Sanskrit/Persian/Arabic) or degree of any other University obtained in the same manner recognized by the Syndicate; 50% marks in the aggregate shall be calculated by taking into account full percentage of marks in all the papers in Language excluding the additional optional papers English and Elective subject took together
MBA(HR)
  • Bachelors Degree in any stream with not less than 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized University
  • A pass in the final examination conducted by the:
  •  Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England
  •  Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England
  •  Institute of Company Secretaries of India
  • AMIE Examination with 50% marks or more after having passed the diploma examination with 60% marks or above and have at least 5 years of research/teaching or professional experience.
  • 5% Concession is admissible in eligibility requirement to SC/ST/BC/PwD candidates

MBA(Entrepreneurship)
  • Minimum of 10% score (5% in case of SC/ST/BC/PwD candidates) in each component of the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2018 viz., quantitative, logic & data interpretation, and verbal and/or any other component which may be added later at any stage to the CAT 2018.
MBA(Executives)
  • Admission to this course is through an Entrance Test conducted by Panjab University followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview. For detail about the Entrance Test to be conducted by Panjab University, kindly visit http://cetpg.puchd.ac.in
  • Bachelors Degree in any stream with not less than 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized University
    OR a pass in the final examination conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England/Institute of Cost Accountants of India or Chartered Institute of Management Accountants of England/Institute of Company Secretaries of India;
    OR Diploma in Personnel Management and Labour Welfare or Diploma in Marketing Management with not less than 60% marks in the aggregate, provided the candidate holds a Bachelors degree
  •  Two years whole time executive experience in a commercial or industrial establishment after having passed the qualifying examination as given above. Members of All India or State Administrative/Technical Services and Defence Personnel holding administrative positions with not less than two years of executive experience will also be eligible. Organizational sponsorship is essential.
  • Note: Applying for Entrance Test and taking the test does not entitle a candidate for admission. For admission to PU-CETPG based Master of Business Administration for Executives (MBAfEX) programme being offered by University Business School at Panjab University, the Online Admission Form will have to be submitted by the Candidate separately. Online Admission Form will be available from 06.06.2017. The candidates are required to fill up and submit online Admission Form at http://onlineadmissions.puchd.ac.in latest by 06.07.2017, even if the result of Entrance Test has not been declared by then.

Hii..Ved, Admission for these courses will be made on the basis of merit determined byscores of the candidates in Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by IIMs, followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD & PI). candidates are advised to visit UBS admission website for detailed instructions & procedure for participation in the admission process ,hard copy of the application alongwith necessary documents should reach UBS admin separately. The candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview on the basis of their score in the CAT subject to the condition that they secure a minimum 10% score (5% in case of SC/ST/BC) candidates) in eachcomponent of CAT viz., quantitative logic & data interpretation, and verbal, and/or any other component which may be added later at any stage tothe CAT, Final Merit List of all the candidates called and appeared for GD & PI will beprepared category-wise on the basis of their combined aggregate score in the CAT , Group Discussion and Personal Interview

STEPS TO FOLLOW :

  1. Read carefully UBS Handbook of Information.
  2. Register Online. [last date for registration: February 13, 2017 (Monday)].
  3. Note down your Login Id and Password (login details will be sent to your registered Email Id also).
  4. Take print out of bank slip (bank slip can also be downloaded from account using login id and password).
  5. Deposit fee using website generated bank slip at any SBI branch, minimum one day after printing of bank slip. [last date for submission of fee in any SBI branch: February 20, 2017 (Monday)].
  6. Login again after 24 Hrs. of depositing fee and upload scanned photograph, signature, fill other important information. Complete each section ( Profile, Categories, Academic Qualification) carefully and lock each section. (Once you lock the section, you will not be allowed to change information in that section). [last date for completion of form: February 27, 2017 (Monday)]
  7. Take print out of the application form and submit/send it along with the required documents to the address mentioned on the print out of the application form. [last date for submission of hard copy of application form & documents: March 06, 2017 upto 4:00 p.m. ].
