TISS Mumbai BA Admission 2021

TISS, Mumbai grants admission in BA (Hons) in Social Science at its Tuljapur, Guwahati & Hyderabad campuses. Tuljapur campus also extends BA (Hons) in Social Work (Rural Development). The applicants should have to qualify in TISS-BAT to secure admission in BA (Hons). The major eligibility criteria for admission is that the candidate should have passed 10+2. International Baccalaureate Diploma Candidates should be 23 years or less as on May 05. The major specialization offered by TISS for BA is Social Science and Social Work (Rural Development).

TISS Mumbai PG Admission 2021

Tata Institute of Social Sciences, [TISS] Mumbai offers admission to courses like MA, MPH, MHA, LL.M. M.Sc & M.Li.Sc in various specializations. The candidate has to attend a single entrance examination (TISSNET) for admission to all the PG courses offered under 12 schools of TISS. The merits obtained in the TISS NET is taken for the rest of the admission process.

TISS PG Admission: Course, Eligibility, Admission Details

The basic eligibility criteria put forward by the institute is that the students must have passed a Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline from a recognized university. Among various other programmes, the Mumbai campus also offers B.Ed-M.Ed (Integrated, Three Years) programme. Admission to the proposed course requires 55% (50% for SC/ ST) in M.Sc/ MA/ M.Com or equivalent. B.Ed-M.Ed candidates will be admitted to the relevant pedagogic specialization based on their academic disciplinary specializations/ major. MA (Social Work) in Children & Families, Criminology & Justice, Community Organization & Development Practice and Dalit & Tribal Studies Students must have passed a Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline from a recognized university
MA (Social Work) Disability Studies Graduation degree in Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy, and Disability rehabilitation-related fields with at least two-year of experience in the field of social welfare is preferred
MA (Social Work) Livelihoods and Entrepreneurship, Mental Health, Women Centred Practice, Public Health Any Graduation degree with two- year of relevant work experience
MA (Social Work) in Disability Studies Graduation in Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy, and Disability rehabilitation-related fields with at least two-year of experience in the field of social welfare is preferred
MA Globalization and Labour, Human Resources Management and Labour Relations, Social Entrepreneurship, Organization Development, Change and Leadership, Development Studies, Women Studies, Education (Elementary), Media and Cultural Studies Any Graduation degree with two- year of relevant work experience
MA in Applied Psychology with specialization in Counselling Psychology, Applied Psychology with specialization in Clinical Psychology BA/ B.Sc in Home Science with a specialization in Child/ Human Development/ BA in Social Work/ BA General with a minimum of three papers in Psychology
MA/ M.Sc in Urban Policy and Governance Any Graduate degree in Engineering, Architecture, Management, Physical Sciences, Geography, Planning, Law, or Social Sciences, with interest in habitat-related issues/ sectors
MA/ M.Sc Water Policy and Governance, Disaster Management Students must have passed a Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline from a recognized university
MPH in Health Administration, Health Policy, Economics, and Finance, Social Epidemiology

  • Bachelor’s degree of 3 years or four-year in Medicine/ Paramedical/ Pharmacy/ Veterinary Science/ Engineering is required.

TISS Mumbai M.Phil and Ph.D Admission

The institute grants admission to Integrated M.Phil-Ph.D. and Direct Ph.D programs in various disciplines at its Tuljapur, Hyderabad & Guwahati campuses. The admission will be given on the basis of score in RAT followed by the achievement in Academic Qualification, Work Experience & Research Proposal.

The eligibility criteria for admission in research programs are such that the candidates should have 55% marks (50% for SC/ ST & PWD) in Master’s degree or GPA of 3.5 in the discipline of Social Science or Allied discipline.

TISS Mumbai Application Form 2021

The application form for TISS Mumbai admissions can be taken online. The candidate has to go through certain steps to submit the application online. The admission fee for various TISS programmes will be based on TISS fee structure. The steps are as follows.

  • The candidate should visit the official website of the university.
  • The candidate should click on the CTA button called ‘Apply Online’ which will redirect to a form page.
  • After the successful completion of the form, the candidate should pay the fee through Net-Banking.
  • The candidate should submit the duly filled application form after uploading the desired documents.

Eligibility criteria for my course is, the aspirant need to be interested in social involvement, social interactions, to help people who need a hand for, etc. In most of the universities, there will be an entrance exam for admission. I haven't appeared for any entrance exam. The typical cutoff is that the apsirant needs a mark of above 50%.
