Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana or SVYASA - Distance Education was established in 1986. They work to make Yoga a socially relevant science, based on the teachings of Swami Vivekananda. The SVYASA is one of its kind. This institute has a 100-acre campus which is surrounded by greenery.

Svyasa - Distance Education Courses are very exclusive and beneficial. SVYASA through their handwork and innovative techniques has standardized such Advanced Yoga techniques as Cyclic Meditation, Pranic Energisation Technique, Mind Sound Resonance Technique, Mastering the Emotions Technique, Mind Imagery Technique, Vijnana Sadhana Kausala, and Anandamrita Sincana.

SVYASA - Distance Education, Bengaluru Eligibility Criteria:

YIC/ CJY	The candidate should have secured a minimum of 50% of marks in 10+2 from a recognized board.
PGDYT	The candidate should have completed a Graduation in any field. The candidate should have secured a minimum of 50% of marks in the Degree programme. The candidate should have completed Yoga Instructor’s Course.
PGDYTD	The candidate should have completed Any Medical Graduation The candidate should have secured a minimum of 50% of marks in Degree Programmes. The candidate should have completed Yoga Instructor’s Course
BSC	The candidate should have completed 10+2. The candidate should have secured a minimum of 40% of marks in +2. The candidate should have completed Yoga Instructor’s Course from S-VYASA or VYASA.
MSC	The candidate should have completed any Bachelor’s degree. The candidate should have secured a minimum of 45% [40% for SC/ST] of marks in graduation. The candidate should have completed Yoga Instructor’s Course from S-VYASA or VYASA.

SVYASA provides hostel facilities for its students.
They have three hostels for one and one hostel for women.
They also have cottages and guest rooms.
The accommodation is in the form of single, double and dormitory, basis of sharing.
The hostel fees include sleeping cots, working desk, and a separate cupboard.
Vegetarian food is provided three times a day.
There is also a departmental store where students can purchase what they need.
