Classes are held from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm from Mon to Friday. Quality of teaching is very good. Seminars and assignments are to be taken in each semester.


Student societies are very active in our college. NCC, NSS and other clubs like adventure, cookery, dance etc are doing well. Departmental fests like Srishti, Exodus, pictures square are colleges unique identities. Life in college is awesome.

Various activities are held in the college. Clubs like adventure, cookery, entrepreneur etc are doing their best to raise the reputation of the college. Srishti is one of the best departmental program done by the department of computer science. Life in college, in general, is good.

About St Thomas College, [STC] Thrissur

St. Thomas College (STC), Thrissur was established in 1889 in less than two years after the formation of the Vicariate Apostolic of Trichur was raised to the rank of Second Grade College in 1919 was the earliest First Grade College in the erstwhile princely state of Cochin in 1925 and is at present one of the largest and most reputed of the Arts and Science Colleges in Kerala. The college is affiliated to University of Calicut.

Since 2002 the portals of this college were open to women as well. At present, St. Thomas' College is one of the largest and most reputed Arts and Science Colleges in Kerala. At the national level, St. Thomas' College has been accredited with a B++ grade in 2004 by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, an autonomous organization instituted by the University Grants Commission. The college completed the re-accreditation process in September 2010 and NAAC accredited the college with a grade and 3.58 points out of 4.00. With this grade the college stands first in district and III in state.


St. Thomas' College firmly believes that, institutes of higher education, through their curriculum, are expected to provide knowledge, know-how, wisdom, and character to the students. "Knowledge" enables them to understand what they learn in relation to what they already know, and creates an ability to generalise from their experiences. "Know-how" takes them beyond mere understanding and enables them to put their knowledge to work. "Wisdom" makes them capable of deciding their priorities. Character development is the combined effect of knowledge, know-how, and wisdom, coupled with motivation. Character development is recognised by certain traits, viz., honesty, integrity, initiative, curiosity, truthfulness, cooperativeness, self-esteem, and ability to work alone and in a group.
