Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering (SVCE) was established on Aug 19, 1985, by Sri Venkateswara Educational and Health Trust. The main objective of the Trust was to develop an institution with a programme of education that could spread knowledge, promote research and cooperation and exchange of ideas between organisations and the academic community. Started off with just 3 undergraduate courses, the college now has 10 undergraduate programs, 10 postgraduate programs and 11 research programs. SVCE has a 95-acre campus that consists of academic buildings, laboratories, library, a dispensary, bank, canteen, hostels, sports grounds, swimming pool and parking area.

Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering provides all the facilities which a student require in his academic and day to day life such as Transport, Hostel, Mess, Sports, Library, Medical, Canteen etc.
Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering is situated on a campus of 95-acres. The campus has facilities like academic blocks with classrooms and laboratories, library, bank, dispensary, canteen, sports ground, gymnasium, swimming pool and hostel.
SVCE has a separate building for Library and is known as Dr A.C. Muthiah Central Library. It is a 3 storied building with an area of 52000Sq.ft. The library has a collection of more than 1 lakh books, 1248 journals, and 2200 CDs. The library has an open access system and the books are classified according to Dewey Decimal Classification Scheme. The library has several halls, study areas, private sections, study tables, and computers to help the students to get the most out of the library. Apart from the central library, there are departmental libraries that for every department with books related to the topics of that department.
Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering has an area of 15 acres for sports and games. Grounds and courts for games like cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, hockey, tennis, ball badminton, throwball, and badminton are available for students along with indoor games area for table tennis, caroms, and chess. There is a gymnasium under the sports department with all sorts of equipment for physical fitness and bodybuilding.
SVCE offers placement opportunities to its students through the SVCE placement cell. Placement cell provides training to the students to overcome the hurdles of tests and interviews. More than 90% of the students get placement every year in national and multi-national companies.

SVCE has hostel availability for both ladies and gents. There are 7 hostel blocks for gents and 3 hostel blocks for ladies. Both hostels provide amenities like essential furniture for each student, hot water availability in bathrooms, emergency generators, common room for recreational purposes with TV, newspaper and games facilities like caroms and chess, Wi-Fi, round the clock security, gymnasium, sports activities, swimming pool, a dispensary and laundromat. The menu is prepared by students and is strictly pure vegetarian South Indian food items. The students are encouraged to take part in sports activities and indoor game facilities provided on campus. Day-to-day affairs and needs of the students in hostels are managed by the Warden.
