Sri Ramanujar Engineering College (SREC), Chennai was established in 2002 managed and run by Swamy Educational Trust. The college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The aim of college is to providing students and future citizens of India with the best options available in the field of engineering. They believe that education is a learning process. To incorporate this mind set for their students, each branch encompasses a practical application in the labs and workshops besides the theory.

The institute is also engaged in supporting the students to refine the necessary skills, attitude and the aptitude towards the corporate placement process in the campus by the way of periodical competitive tests and group interaction exercises.
