Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit (SSUS) is considered amongst the best Sanskrit Universities in India. It thrives to impart good knowledge in Sanskrit, other Indian as well as Foreign Languages, Fine Arts, and Social Sciences to the students.

The university came into being in the year 1994 in Kalady, Kerala. It has 8 regional campuses in Kerala, most of which are located in rural areas. The University is recognized by UGC and accredited with an A Grade by NAAC.
