Eligibility Criteria for B.Sc, B.Tech:

All the applicants must have passed [10+2] exam conducted by the central board of secondary education or any of its state equivalents with a minimum aggregate of 50% of marks overall along with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics mandatory subjects from any recognized university/institution.

The candidate should have a minimum of 50% marks in English.

Medically, Candidates should be physically fit for sea service under standard norms, with eyesight up to 6/12 in both eyes or 6/9 in the better eye, 6/18 in other eye and with no color blindness.

Stream offered in B.Tech: Marine Engineering

Stream offered in B.Sc: Nautical Science

Application Process for B.Sc, B.Tech:

The candidates can either apply for the admission into this institution by directly registering into the home page of the institution or download the E-brochure from our website and you will be getting a call back from us with all the necessary details and important dates to assist you in landing the admission into the institution. 

The candidates may have to attach the report cards and transcripts of the qualified bachelor's degree at the time of registration.

Along with this, the candidates will be asked about their basic personal information like Full name, Date of Birth, the qualifying mark percentile in the 10+2(Class 12th) examination in the respective state educational board or central board for secondary education or its equivalent counterparts.

Admission Process for B.Sc, B.Tech:

After scrutinizing the application from s and copies of certificates, the SAMS selection board will send the SELECTION NOTICE to the candidates.

Selected candidates will be required to report at the academy on the date mentioned in the selection notice with all their original certificates for submission and luggage/baggage for entrance examination & Interview.

The selected candidates have to undergo a strict medical / eyesight examination (as per MS Rules 1986) conforming to Merchant Navy Standards by the doctors approved by D.G. Shipping, Ministry of Shipping, Govt. of India.

Admission will be confirmed only when the candidate is medically fit for Training.

On Successful completion of the medical examination, the selected candidates must take admission by paying the COURSE FEES. Otherwise, the seat will be allotted to the waitlisted candidates.

The SAMS selection board has the right to reject the application at stage without any reason.
