Placements & Internships : Internships given through SMIT are good. Many good and well-reputed companies visit SMIT for campus placement and offer a good package. The alumni network is also good, and they guide us for a better future.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Eligibility criteria are not that tough. One only needs to secure 50% and above in their graduation.

Fees & Scholarships : Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology, [SMIT] East Sikkim Fee Structure. The course fee is about INR 42,500 per sem. SMIT provides scholarships to students under various categories and a merit scholarship. I also got a 20% scholarship based on my graduation marks. One can pay the fee in three installments, so I don't think people will go for a loan, but still, a loan facility is available by many banks.

Academics & Faculty : Usually, classes start at 9 AM. Then there will be a lunch break at 1 for 1 hour, and then there will be a class from 2–4 PM. SMIT has got very good educated teachers. Faculties are good at teaching and clearing every student's doubts. They are quite understanding and generous. There is a system of assigning teacher guidance to every student. In this way, every student is given equal importance. Experience is quite good till now.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : I am a hosteller. We have 2 huge girls' hostels. In each room, there is a capacity of 2 girls. Spacious room with attached washroom facility as well as house cleaning facility too. PGs are easily available outside the college entrance. Mess food is also hygienic as well as tasty. The infrastructure is very good.

Clubs & Associations : SMIT encourages students' participation through clubs and activities. There are various clubs such as science clubs, robotics clubs, photography clubs, dance clubs, singing clubs, and many more. Now and then, there will be DJ nights, cultural events, food feasts, and countless events. Life is SMIT is full of enjoyment.
