Admission

The admission procedure was CAP round and Institute quota and minority. The entrance examinations were JEE MAINS and CET. The cutoff for mechanical engineering is close to 93 percentile.

College Infrastructure

There are no hostels nearby. Although there are rented rooms available. Rent is around 10k for 1bhk. Food in the college is really nice, but a little costly.

Clubs & Associations

There are lots of student societies active in our college like EDC, SAE, IETE, CSI etc. There are literature clubs, music clubs, theatre, dance etc. There are 2 main fests that happen once every academic year cognition (tech fest) and TML (cultural fest). Life in college is pretty chilled and fun

Fees and Scholarship

INR 1lakh to INR 1.2 lakhs per annum or INR 10,000 or INR 20,000 per annum depending on your caste and other factors. Scholarships are often awarded to students with low income based on merit. Loans may be needed depending on the financial situation of the student. The loan amount is easy to get from any bank.

Admission
  • SIES GRADUATE SCHOOL OF TECHNOLOGY is a TAMIL MINORITY college.
  • So 50% seats are reserved for native tamilians. So getting admission through minority quota is quite easy.
  • The eligibility criteria are and will be a valid MAH CET Score or a valid JEE MAIN Score and should get 60% marks in PCM for open candidates and 55% marks in PCM for reserved category.
  • Once you clear the above exam minority forms, go ONLINE for Tamil students and for other than Tamil students Common Admission Process [CAP] is one of the ways to get in SIES GST.
  • The way is through institute quota. Three counselling rounds are held on the campus for minority and institute quota.
  • There are total 5 branches in this college with a typical cutoff as given below- 1)COMPUTER SCIENCE For minority and institute seats CET: 70-110 JEE: 30-50 For CAP seats CET:90-120 JEE: 50-70

Admission
  • The entrance exam for getting admission in this college is the same as all over Maharashtra: CET. During my time, there was a minimum eligibility criterion of 50% aggregate marks in PCM subjects in XIIth grade. The CET cutoff varied.
  • But most students with CET marks over 100 were able to get admission within the first couple of CAP rounds.
Placements & Internships
  • The college has tie-ups with few companies for internships. They offer them just after the end of the third year. The placement provided is great with a number of companies visiting the college.
  • The only drawback that can be pointed out is that there are hardly any opportunities coming in for ME students.

Training & Placement

Utmost importance is given to placement related activities to ensure that all successful graduates receive suitable placements. Over the past several years, a strong placement network has been developed with industries in the manufacturing, engineering, financial services, information technology, publication and other sectors. This has been achieved through constant interaction with the industry by way of seminars, research projects, and on-and off-campus initiatives. As part of its placement efforts, placement teams visit potential employers and consultants and apprise them of the level of knowledge and practical application skills acquired by the graduates in their respective areas of specialization. The profiles of the students seeking placement assistance are made available to the prospective employers. Placement meets and personality development workshops are organized as part of the placement program. All the students are provided guidance in caree
