Placements & Internships : In my batch of about 100 students only 4-5 were placed in a sales job at around Rs 12000 per month. The company recruited the candidates and paid no attention that they were engineers and not appropriate for sales job. The students who joined the company are now regretting their decisions.

Academics & Faculty : SHIATS is a very easy college to get in as per the admission process is but I would never ever in my whole life recommend this institution to anyone. Only if you want a flashy degree with high grades and that too with minimal labour, then come to this college. I being a pass out of this college can tell you exactly what happens here. Here there is no value of Intelligence and Creativity. The whole teaching faculty of engineering especially Mechanical comprises of teachers who don't know how to teach and also the students here, don't want to study. There is a lot of bunking and just before the start of exams the students are handed some notes by the teachers (they call it assignments) and the examination paper comprises of only these notes. So you can score high but it would never increase your knowledge. In the beginning everything would look very fine but eventually you will have o suffer. It's just like the witch's house in Hansel & Gratel. While joining this college you agree to some agreements. You should never expect anything more than the degree.(No placements-not even 10% ) You agree to pay just for your degree and not for knowledge.(My Knowlege even went negatively-Don't Laugh IT IS TRUE) You will never be able to experience competition in studies.(No one Studies here) You agree to the favourism shown to Christian students and not complain.( All the christian students regardless of their marks, study here by paying half the fees you pay). Everywhere you go, you won't be able to explain to people the legitimacy of your college. You agree to empty your bank account on nothing fruitful and remain  frustrated all your life with no job and also an empty bank account. And this is just the gist. So only if you want to just provide a degree to get promotion in an existing workplace with minimal labour, then you should be surely going to this college. Getting admission into this college is the worst decision of my life and I regret it the most. So it's your life. Decide wisely

Fees & Scholarships : My course fees was around Rs 1,20,000 per year that is Rs 60,000 per semester. This is just the tuition fees. Hostel mess and other expenses are not included in this. Scholarships are provided to all who are christians automatically without any criteria of their performance in class. No matter if you are among the top 3 , but are not christian, then forget scholarships and fees exemptions.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Infrastructure is as shitty as it could be. If all the population decided to be present for a single class, then they would find that there is not enough space for the entire batch. The classrooms are dirty and the labs have such outdated systems that you would not think of even sitting before them. There is no provision for coolers in the classrooms forget air conditioners. Hostels are below average , though the charges are high as compared to the location. People here prefer to live outside the campus in private lodges so that they can save some money. Dont even think of facilities such as wifi to be provided for free. The college charges some amount for a semester and that too for a single device and the net speed is limited and usage is also restricted to only 10 GB for an entire semester.

Clubs & Associations : If you talk about the engineering department then there are technical societies of respective branches which tend to host some quizzes and seminars time to time. But these quizzes and seminars don't add much to your resume and are in fact a means of making money to the organizing committee, though the technical society of Civil Engineering hosts some good events and their work is commendable when compared to any other technical society.
