Launch of Bajaj CPBFI Program to Connect Students with Career Opportunities - Salesian College Autonomous, Siliguri launched the Bajaj CPBFI program on 28 November 2025 to bridge academics with professional training in banking, finance, and insurance. Around 85 students participated in the launch. The program runs from 3 December to 21 January, offering 96 hours of hybrid training across four modules—Managing Self, Communication, Banking, and Insurance. It aims to build essential skills and industry-ready knowledge. Successful participants will receive certificates and potential job placement opportunities through Bajaj.
West Bengal Governor Anand Bose Supports Youth Empowerment at Rozgar Mela 2.0 - The second day of Rozgar Mela 2.0 at Salesian College Siliguri marked a significant step in connecting education with job opportunities. West Bengal Governor Dr. C.V. Anand Bose elevated the event's stature by personally distributing job appointment letters to candidates. Organized by the Darjeeling Welfare Society, led by President and Rajya Sabha Member Harsh Vardhan Shringla, in partnership with Salesian College, the event also featured the attendance of Jalpaiguri MP Dr. Jayanta Kumar Roy and Bagdogra MLA Anandamay Barman, highlighting their shared commitment to empowering youth and fostering regional growth. More than 2,100 young individuals received job offers from around 60 recruiting companies. Governor Bose described the Rozgar Mela as 'a timely connection between education and opportunity,' encouraging graduates to focus on skills, resilience, and ethical conduct as foundational to their careers. Principal Dr. Fr. Babu Joseph emphasized that Rozgar Mela 2.0 is not solely about job placements but also about reinforcing the significance and direction of education for youth.
