Rajiv Gandhi University is spread over 320 acres overlooking the river Dikrong. It is known for its excellent academic and administrative infrastructure. The campus offers modern amenities to students for a better learning experience. Some of the highlighting features of the infrastructure are given below.

Library: The Rajiv Gandhi University library is the central hub of academic activities, with over 64000 books. It has also subscribed to the latest national and international journals. The library has an E-section where the students can download online content in pdf format. The library also provides access to the different online journals under various consortiums from which more than 10,000 e-journals and full-text articles may be browsed and downloaded.  

Hostel: The Rajiv Gandhi University hostel maintains 12 (twelve) halls of residence for students (6 for men and 6 for women) with 1024 residents with facilities like a common room, TV and indoor games. There is a student prefect in each hall. Admission to the RHU hostel is made per reservation and merit fixed by the university. 

Sports Facilities: The Rajiv Gandhi University offers facilities for both indoor and outdoor games like cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, and athletics. The university encourages students to participate in many sports activities. 

Cafeteria: The Rajiv Gandhi University canteen serves students various foods, snacks and beverages. The food is hygienically-prepared in a mechanised kitchen. In addition, the campus has a central canteen, a tea stall, a cafeteria, and a co-operative store, to meet the general needs of the university community.

Auditorium: The Rajiv Gandhi University infrastructure offers the auditorium to the students, which is well equipped with modern and latest infrastructure. The university provides a well-equipped hall for conducting seminars and events. 

IT Infrastructure: The Rajiv Gandhi University infrastructure provides IT Infrastructure to the students. The facilities are well maintained with the latest technologies, which helps to enhance the student's technical skills. 

Labs: The campus has fully furnished departmental-based laboratories for the students. The laboratories are equipped with modern instruments and apparatus to help the students in practicals. 

Computer Centre: The Rajiv Gandhi University campus has numerous computer centre facilities. The centre has taken steps to set up a Network Academy on the campus as a skill enhancement program that would equip students with applied technology of the industry standards. In addition, the university has designed and developed software modules (Intranet) programs used by the various departments.

Bank Facilities: The RGU Itanagar infrastructure offers a branch of Vijaya Bank with an ATM facility which operates in the administration block to meet the banking needs of the university community. An EDBPO (Sub-Post Office) with a speed post facility also functions on the university campus. In addition, one SBI ATM booth has also been installed on the campus to facilitate the university community.  

Medical Facilities: The campus has a health centre in case of emergencies situated at the centre of the campus. The health centre has the following departments:

Transport Facilities: The Rajiv Gandhi University facilities provide adequate bus services from the campus to Nirjuli, Naharlagun & Itanagar for students and staff at concessional rates. Frequent bus services are provided to NERIST point in Nirjuli on National Highway 52- A, where public transport facilities can be easily available.

Women Technology Park: The campus facilitates students with the UGC XIth plan, established in 2011. The cell supports the students in developing their soft skills and communication ability to meet the competitive test. The practice also includes hunting, fishing, and collecting major and minor forest items. 

VSAT Facilities: The Rajiv Gandhi University infrastructure includes facilities like VSAT facilities that maintain internet access and support all the departments, including administrative buildings, academic buildings, university libraries, hostels, guest houses, and auditorium. It is very helpful for the university to work from any block/building and receive the same data transfer speed.

Day Care Centre: The campus has a daycare centre to provide daycare facilities to the children of the age group of three months to six years of the working parents, students and visiting guests of the university. In addition, the centre is equipped with all necessary infrastructures and play toys for the cognitive and physical development of the children.

Facilities for Differently-Abled: The Rajiv Gandhi University infrastructure provides various facilities to differently-abled persons. The university ensures that all existing structures and future campus construction projects are made disabled-friendly. In addition, special facilities such as ramps, rails, special toilets, and other necessary changes are made to address the accessibility issues of disability.
