The foundation stone of Panskura college was laid on the 14th of December 1960. The inception of this institution is a dream come true for the local people and their hardship efforts for opening up a degree college for the future generation. A wealthy and cultured person of soil, Late Banamali Charan Khatua undertook the responsibility of developing a college building at its present state.

Panskura Banamali College is a government-aided college which is affiliated to Vidyasagar University. The institution was accredited with an 'A' grade from NAAC in 2005. Panskura college is composed of the best learning features and facilities for students. The college has been accredited by UGC and NCTE.
