NITTE School of Management was established by Nitte Education Trust. This trust was founded by Justice K S Hegde. This trust has been providing basic education, healthcare and train manpower to society since its inception. 

NSM offers PGDM course which is integrated with Action Learning Projects and classroom teaching with real-life situations. This institute let the students go into the real world and apply the tools and concepts to real business situations. The students are thought by applying their theoretical knowledge to test in the real-life situation through industry projects and interaction with practitioners.

Moreover, through case studies, the students earn the skills of effective decision making. The action learning project gives students a chance to apply the skills they have learned in the classroom and work as part of a small team for solving the current business problem for a real company.

The program at this institute is designed to suit the needs of the industry and also to develop corporate leaders. It excels students in solving complex business problems and contribute to organizational growth.

NSM Placements take place in the 6th trimester. Students first undergo into live internship of one month which will be followed by 4 months internship. This leads to final placement in the 6th trimester.

Apart from that, this institute has a tie-up with North Dakota University. This tie-up is for MS in Agri-Business and Applied Economics. Meritorious and eligible students are given chance to study one year in the USA.
