NIT Kurukshetra Scholarship Details

National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra provide scholarships and financial aid to students. Candidates who match the required criteria can apply for the scholarships. There is limited availability of these aids, and they change from time to time depending on the sanctioning authority. Further details about the NIT Kurukshetra scholarship are mentioned below.

Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for ST Students 

• For each year of B.Tech degree programmes, the college awards 26 merit scholarships and 52 merit-cum-means scholarships.
• A limited number of merit-cum-means scholarships may be awarded to students in higher classes based on the aggregate of two-semester examinations in the previous year. If the students receive 60 percent, they are eligible for the scholarship. 

Alumni Association Scholarship

• The National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra scholarship worth Rs. 2400 per annum scholarships (one each in the disciplines of Civil, Computer, Electronics, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering) to regular B. Tech students at the college. There are a total of 5 scholarships awarded to the eligible students. 

Alumni Association Medal for the Best All-Round Student of the Year

• The NIT Kurukshetra has an alumni association that has established a medal for the best all-round student of the year. The institute will choose the finest student.
• If a case of gross indiscipline is launched against them, the selected candidate will be compelled to sign a bond promising to abide by the terms and conditions indicated above and to reimburse the scholarship amount previously drawn.
• The President, NIT Kurushetra Alumni, will have the final say in all cases.

Education Loan

• A student must follow the rules and regulations. Any misbehaviour on their part may result in the scholarship being revoked in part or whole, temporarily or permanently.
• If students miss three days or more of class without permission, they will be denied benefits, scholarships, and other financial aid, including loans, for the remainder of the semester.
• Other NIT Kurushetra scholarships or stipends will be available in addition to the preceding scholarships and loans.
