I have done an internship in Chennai Metro Rail Limited for a duration of 2 months and there was no stipend. Many top MNC came for placement and they selected many students from our college and nearly 89.8% of the students from the 2015-2019 batch has been placed and more than 50% of the students got placed in more than 3 companies. Every year an alumni meet will happen and he alumni working in MNC also came for placements with their company.
Still, now I didn't apply for the intern. Mostly Accenture and CTS provide INR 8 per annum. Many alumni from our college will come for ppt and other training stuff.
The Placement Cell was established in April 2004 and has been devoted to bridging the Industry-Academia gap thus giving a wider exposure to students thereby making them industry ready. As a part of the training program the placement cell has developed and conducted a unique event called "A Week of E3event" at the beginning of each academic year. The event has been a good precursor for the students to prepare for campus interviews. It encompasses various programmes including mock interviews/GD's, project presentations, personality development workshops etc. Companies ahve shown conmmendable appreciation for the effect of the programme on the performance of students during the ensuing campus recruitments.
