Marathwada Agriculture University, [MAU] Parbhani is one of the 4 agriculture based universities in Maharashtra. It was established to spread the knowledge about agri-horticulture, fisheries, livestock and agriculture-allied activities in the Marathwada region. It also serves as the support for the nucleus, foundation seed and breeders of the important crops and also generated revenue for the sustainable growth of the University.

The university has a lot of facilities in its campus like gymnasium, running track, 2 floodlit basketball courts, 2 floodlit volleyball courts, badminton court, table-tennis hall and more. The university has organized West Zone AIU Volleyball tournament for Women, ICAR Youth Festival, ICAR Sports Meet, Ashwamedh Krida Mahotsav and many other festivals and events.

The university has strong placements with Reliance, Tata Chemicals, IDBI Bank, Sunshine Olaceaum Indore, ranger Farms Ltd as few of the many top-class recruiters. The university also received the award for The Best officer and the Best NSS Unit Award from Honourable Minister Shri Vinod Tawade.
