As mentioned on the official website the admission procedure for the undergraduate and postgraduate courses at Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai is as follows:
The candidate should have a valid score in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).
Reservation policy of Government of Maharashtra will be followed.
All programmes are full time and residential.
Following documents need to be submitted at the time of admissions:
Original Copy of CLAT score card
Copy of CLAT admit card
Copy of CLAT Counselling Fee Receipt
Original proof of age
Original marks sheet of the qualifying examination
Original character certificate and transfer certificate
Original SC/ST certificate
Non-creamy layer certificate
Original copy of Adhar card
Original copy Passport
Recent passport size photograph (8 copies) and stamp size photograph (4 copies)
Ph.D
Students who have qualified NET/SET/JRF examination are exempted from PAT conducted by MNLU Mumbai. They shall be eligible to directly appear at the personal interview along with PAT qualified candidates as mentioned on the official website.
Candidates who have not qualified NET/SET/JRF examination of the apex bodies in higher/technical professional education or other equivalent examination shall have to take Ph.D Registration Admission Test (PAT), conducted by MNLU Mumbai.
The candidate shall apply for PAT in the prescribed Application Form within the date notified
BA LLB (Hons.)/ B.Com LLB (Hons.)
A candidate should have passed in 10+2 or an equivalent examination with a minimum of Forty-Five percentage (45%) of marks in case of candidates belonging to unreserved/OBC/Specially Abled Persons/NRI/NRI Sponsored categories.
Forty percentage (40%) of marks in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.
Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination (CLAT) are also eligible to apply for the undergraduate courses.
Candidates who want to take admissions into LLM at Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai should have completed LLB Degree or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 55% of marks in case of candidates belonging to unreserved/OBC/Specially Abled Persons/NRI/NRI Sponsored categories.
Fifty percentage (50%) of marks in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.
Applicants appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.
Ph.D
Applicants should have completed a Masters degree from a recognised University with at least 55% marks in aggregate
Students who have a valid score in NET/SET/JRF examination are exempted from PAT conducted by MNLU Mumbai.
Otherwise, the applicant should write Ph.D Registration Admission Test (PAT), conducted by MNLU Mumbai.
Candidates whose M.Phil the dissertation has been evaluated and the viva voce is pending may be admitted to the Ph.D programme.
