Auditorium: The college conducts international, national and important events such as conferences, workshops, seminars, meetings, placement programs. The auditorium is air-conditioned and equipped with modern projection and audio systems with the latest teaching aids like LCD, slide, and overhead projectors. Educational cassettes are also projected in these theatres in consultation with subject staff.

Canteen: The MKU main campus provides a spacious canteen facility and serves delicious food at reasonable prices. The canteen also has the latest cookery equipment for both veg & non-veg eaters. In addition, they provide hygienic breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

CCTV: The CCTV system is spread across all campuses and many residences. The security surveillance is installed at strategic locations of the campus. Recorded images are kept for a maximum of 30 days. In addition, there are currently almost 200 closed-circuit television cameras at the MKU in various classrooms, halls, parking lots and other public areas.

Central Instrumentation Centre: The Madurai Kamaraj University has a central instrumentation centre to manage core central equipment facilities purchased under various programs such as UGC-UPE and DST-PURSE in a single place to nucleate multidisciplinary research activities. It conducts seminars, workshops, and short-term courses to get hands-on experience handling the equipment and interpreting the results. 

Health Care: The Madurai Kamaraj University infrastructure has a hospital that renders 24 hours services to the students, staff, families. It provides treatment at a nominal charge. There is a 24 hours ambulance facility, X-ray unit, lab, and a well-equipped labour theatre. The MKU hospital also works in collaboration with Apollo Speciality Hospitals.

Hostel: The Madurai Kamaraj University has a women's hostel with 3 blocks on the campus. These three blocks contain 317 well furnished double accommodation rooms with more than 487 inmates, including 69 research scholars, 330 PG students and 88 M.Phil scholars from various disciplines. The Madurai Kamaraj University ladies hostel has a single entry and exit point and provides round-the-clock security. The inmates have space for parking their two-wheeler. It has amenities such as two TV halls, a visitor’s room, three dining halls with a hygienic centralised modem kitchen and RO water plants for the benefit of the inmates. The Madurai Kamaraj University hostel has a mess run and maintained by the inmates with the guidance of the committee members. Wi-Fi facility is also provided in the hostel premises for the educational benefit of the inmates.

Internet Facility: The college has a 24x7 Wi-Fi facility for the students and faculty members. A dedicated 1 Gbps internet mainline supports the academic infrastructure and provides access to the resources on the internet.

Library: The Madurai Kamaraj University library offers a vast collection of books, journals, periodicals, newspapers, articles, etc. It provides access to e-resources and a huge range of information online.

Academic Park: The college facilitates academic parks for the students with a conducive environment and further develops the university to international standards.

Post Office: The university has a post office where all postal services, including savings bank facilities, are available

ICT Learning: The Madurai Kamaraj University facilities include 82 smart classrooms. These classrooms have the internet and Wi-Fi facility, which enable the simple forwarding of all lecture files, board captured notes to the students in a single step after the lectures. 

Solar Power System: Madurai Kamaraj University has taken the initiative in promoting green energy concepts on its campus. The solar power station is of grid-connected type synchronised with the MKU grid. It is a battery-free system and thus ensures less maintenance.

Transportation: Madurai Kamaraj University transport has more than 10 buses which are made available to the students and the faculty members for commuting from various points in the city and also from the suburbs like AnnaNagar, Therkuvasal, Periyar, Kalavasal, Checkanurani, Keelavasal, and Teppakulam.
