About Yadava College Arts and Science, [YCAS] Madurai

Yadava College, Madurai was established in 1962. It is an autonomous college accredited by NAAC with A grade. The aim of the college is to impart futuristic arts and science education of global standards to the youths of all sections of society and empowering them with scientific, humanistic and ethical outlook to improve the quality of life of the human race. The objective of the college is to provide quality higher education and research facilities to the youths belonging to the underprivileged sections of the society cutting across barriers of caste, community and religion so as to mould them intellectually as sound, socially responsible and ethically strong citizens. 

The college also aims to increase the life opportunities of individuals and the productivity of organization and to strengthen the development and employability of the students. The college strives to equip the students with updated subject knowledge in the programs and to develop the soft skills of the students through intensive training in communicative skills, leadership quality, personality development and character and capacity building. The college is to concentrate on the overall development of individuals to shape them as good citizens.

Library

The Library is the heart of the institution. It is to promote sharing of resources by collecting, storing and disseminating information and by offering computerized services to the users.

The College Library was established in the year1969. Thiru. E. Rengasamy Konar, One of the founders and former Correspondent of Yadava College donated all the books of, “Erulappa konar Memorial Library” founded by him at North Masi Street, Madurai. Placement Cell :-

Placement cell is very active and it provides placement guidance, arranges soft skill programmes and conducts campus interviews. Since 2005 till the end of February 2010, 425 students have been placed. Apart from this, the months of March and April 2010 have been tremendous for placement since 162 students have been placed in reputed companies. The academic year 2009-10 has seen 223 students getting placed. The following Institutions have visited the college for conducting Campus Interviews.
